I’m aware of that, D-Bone. It’s a perfectly sane listing price.

I was gonna get another but I figured I’d save some for somebody else. He only had a couple. Haven’t read it yet.

I asked for one they gave me three, love my LCS

Ummm, why are we not talking about Knull more? Well, for me, it’s because I haven’t bought a Marvel comic in awhile and only read Anthony’s spoilers.

I’m thinking I need to pick Knull 1-3 up. It actually looks really good and Knull has become a major, MAJOR villain/character in the Marvel Universe. I love that the spoiler shows that even he can get confused and show incredulity at what the universe can do.

Also, remember when Eddie Brock was simply a vessel for Venom?

Feel free to start a brand new topic to discuss… Tis one of many reasons we started the forums, to have awesome discussions of the things we love in the comic book world along with related pop culture entertainment and collecting.

I thought venom was strictly the merger of Brock and the Symbiote. Now I see that Venom is the symbiote itself merged with anyone.

So that makes ASM 252 the first Venom. Cover and all. Kill all debates about ASM 298-300, 315 and 316.

My verbiage is off. I just remember Venom attaching itself to Eddie simply because of his disdain for Peter. Eddie and Venom were the perfect match at the right time and worked together which negates my use of ā€˜vessel’ (mindless entity).

But I like the discussion this may have started. It, IMO however, is way to late to change the fabric of belief when it comes to Venom and Eddie Brock’s first cameos and appearances.

I’ve always wondered when they introduced the black costume in Secret Wars 8, was the idea of leading up to Venom the plan or did the whole concept of Venom get thought up later? A few years ago Jim Shooter was in town signing autographs and I wanted to ask him since I know he authorized Marvel to buy the black costume design from someone for $220 (although I think that design was black and red instead of black and white) and he came up with Secret Wars. I didn’t get the chance because the comic store owner was yaking his ear off the whole time so people in line like myself just got an autograph and a nod, but no real interaction.

If I were to guess, it was solely to sell toys and the idea for Venom came later. Mattel influenced a lot of the decisions on character designs and other tech in that crossover.

Happy Wednesday Eve everyone

Not too much exciting me this week besides some curiosity for the new Daredevil and how I’m digging the Absolute Superman series.

Anyone reporting issues with the Daredevil blind bags? Just saw this from a nearby LCS, it appears to be just the cover? No interior? Or that is just a wrap they are using for the actual comic?

He just destroyed potentially a rare error variant!

Looked like a 1:500 too

Kind of a meh week
