Now, diesel prices are exploding, and there’s a trucker strike looming. So, things could get ugly here in a hurry. I know someone in trucking logistics, and he’s very concerned. Could be another supply chain breakdown.

Anyways, some things to remember: Firstly, if national security was as much of a concern as they say it is we wouldn’t be half as dependent on foreign oil as we are.

Secondly, the world is a stage and this is allllll theatre.

I know Texas is big, but could not figure out why it cost more to different parts of the state than it did east to west coast…which are more zones away.

USPS now charges way more for addresses it thinks are rural. I’ve had a couple that I didn’t think seemed truly rural, but they make the rules.

I mean, that’s really weird. It’s always been more expensive for bigger and heavier packages. This just blows my mind. I always add 2-3 ounces to every package after weighing It without the label. I honestly don’t think they’d come back at you for it unless a bunch of ppl started taking advantage of it. Again, why charge less for more?

I have been doing some digging and it’s two schools of though. One is to have people stop under reporting the weight of the packages and two to disincentives single item shipping. eBay landscape could be very different in the near future. They are offering bundles and all now. The postage is getting to the point that a single comic is not worth buying. I don’t sell cheap items because I hate the buyer paying more for shipping than the item.

Please don’t ship media mail. Comics do not qualify for it. My PO will open every one and inspect it (risking damage) and then charge the difference on shipping to the buyer. Then I have to go through the trouble of asking for a refund.

I refuse to buy from sellers who list the shipping as media mail. Most of my hassles are from sellers who list ground and then ship media mail to save more money.

Please don’t ship media mail.

I stopped that long ago. Especially when I started selling comics north of $20. Too much risk on the seller. And until recently the price difference was t really enough to discourage buyers I found. Sales did not suffer, but may have even increased.

But with shipping vastly approaching $8-$10 even discounted, I think we’ll see the “bait and switch” much more often.

That’s been debunked so far from what I’ve looked up. I keep seeing those social media posts flying around and there’s no actual org or group associated with any of them planning an actual strike.
