Ebay is dead

I could swear I saw a video about how CGC doesn’t use gloves? They just use their bare hands but ensure they’re clean supposedly?

It was a joke. No, they don’t use gloves…at least for moderns. Hopefully they wash their hands.

Maybe high value ones they do….you are paying extra!!!

I have both notify me. So I get an alert when one sells. More times than not I take the other one down right away. It’s not really risky and have only had an issue one time and I just canceled the Mercari order.

I would actually rather sell on eBay because of the payment distribution. But I will take cash where I can get it

I get a lot of “likes” on Mercari…notifications like every hour…I need to turn that off.

I don’t care if you “like” it…I care if you “buy” it!!

I guess that should go under my Mercari complaints….

I get it too. People use Mercari like social media I guess. I have listings with like 40 likes but hasn’t sold.

Crickets for me on Mercari since this morning… @Anthony what is your secret?

Mercari is generally pretty weak for me in terms of selling anything. Guess @Anthony has got the secret sauce!

Every comic sold comes with a signed photo of @agentpoyo at the slop bucket.

I also have about 300 listings up on Mercari at any given time and I think that helps.

Did have a big $8 sale on eBay tonight (over $100 on Mercari today)

Don’t fall for it people, this guy @Anthony doesn’t allow me to have pens or pencils so you can probably guess what’s being used to sign these photos…

LOL, Why does that even exist. Who cares if you “like it” buy it or don’t.

Funny thing is the like button is totally for saving things you are interested in buying. But more times than not it seems like a Pinterest type like.

Alright, most of you have been doing this for a while like me. Ebay used to rock, except maybe a couple years ago they changed some things. And one of those things I think was they stopped advertsing off the ebay site, which probably led to the current decline of my sales.

I was wondering what others thought about this? Am I wrong? Did they stop advertising offsite in order to reintroduce it with yet another ebay fee? I refuse to pay more for ebay, I am not going to pay for clicks or whatever.

Really if you are selling anything under twenty bucks at this point, I don’t get it. I listed a couple fifteen dollar comics, but I already know I will be making nothing on that.

Ugghhh

After my best Jan and Feb on eBay, March is doing really well, too. I don’t sell on Mercari, so I have no baseline there.

A few things…

Combining shipping helps and makes people buy more from you. My last 3 comic sales were all multiple purchase sales. Figuring out a combine shipping rule or a calculated shipping rule really drove more multiple items sales for me.

Also, I buy a lot of collections for very cheap, so I’ll put together runs of cheap books and make a real good profit.

I can’t prove this, but I think if you list a few items every day eBay bumps up your item in searches. I’ve found that the more I list, the more sales I get, which many times, are not the items I recently listed.

I have always heard list at least 10 items a day and it bumps up your searches. I notice the same thing, the more you list the more sales you seem to get.

I have heard this from general reseller videos I have seen on YouTube.

What if I list 100 items on day 1, then nothing for a month?
