I am back on a two day streak, my listings are way down compared to what they were. Currently sitting at like 160 active listings, normally I would have like 200 some running at any given time, but I have blown through a lot of inventory.

Might actually do some whatnot shows to blow through some of my excess flea market books.

Survive, and advance.

Sale just came in with 21 minutes to spare. Day 10 is official.

Nope. I had an account once selling computer parts with a colleague. Buyer gave a negative cause I combined two items they purchased, one had free shipping, the other didn’t. They demanded both should be free shipping combined. The free shipping item was literally RAM I believe, only a couple of ounces total so the price made up to offer free shipping. The other part was hard drives, not so cheap to ship. So explained to them, The RAM is tagging along with the drives, securely but I can’t automatically give you free shipping on them all. I even stated I could just ship them separately. They got kind of nasty so I just canceled entire order. They left a negative… contacted eBay and they said sorry, not based on if the sale is completed, feedback also covers “experience” the customer had. This was a long time ago. Probably could have gotten it reversed but didn’t bother, we were almost done selling stuff and just didn’t care after that. Most probably if concerned could see the notes I left to reply to their negative feedback.

Woohoo. Day 3 is on the books.

Man. My sales have dropped off a cliff this past week. There was no way I could have maintained the pace from Jan/Feb, so it was a matter of time. But, I sold 300 bulk books to make up for that.

I had some chap do the same thing to me last year. No contact. Just drops a negative feedback on me. The bizarre thing was, the feedback had absolutely nothing to do with what he bought from me to the point it really looks like he meant to leave it for something else he purchased but couldn’t follow the lines across his screen correctly and clicked on me instead of someone else. The feedback made absolutely no sense so I tried to contact eBay. Well, good ‘ol AI is what they use now and the AI rejected my request to remove it. So I did try reaching out to the buyer to change the feedback but I got no response. I was pretty hot over the whole thing and flamed eBay when they send me the dumb “how was your selling experience” email. I even pulled all my listings for a week.

I hate hearing about that. People should always give the seller to make things right before leaving any feedback. People make mistakes, let them fix. Now if the seller is just a complete jerk, then by all means, leave the appropriate feedback then… but ALWAYS give them a chance first…

Less than 3 hrs…at risk of steak ending.

Just had a 12 day streak end!

Definitely a slow two weeks for me. Jan and Feb were great.

Huzzah. Sold a Dorc 1 2nd print. On the board for day 5. Not bad. This year I have only not had a sale over three days.

My sales streak ended at 9 as of midnight.

Now my dry spell is heading toward day 2.

My belief is if you talk about the streak, it will end.

My Jan and Feb, and now March have been my best 3 month in sales ever. I think adding Mecari based upon everyone’s advice has helped alot.

Glad more people are utilizing it.

I’m not on a daily streak.
I don’t purchase or sell alot of new books as many do on here.
But I will say alot of my expensive books, both raw and graded, are selling quite well since late Jan.
They’ve been sitting around for a year and on some occasions even more than 1 year.
Any many are gone now.
So it does seem from a small sampling that all types of books (low $, mid $$, and high $$$) are selling this 1st Quarter of '26.

After selling an Dorc 1 2nd print I had sales on both Mercari and eBay

That Cheech Wizard I got for $1. It’s an underground comic but wasn’t in good shape. I think I smelled colors after flipping through it.

I love underground comix. Bode died far too young.

Good job selling the Aquaman 12, I’m still trying to unload that sucker. I went to 2 shops and between them they had about 100 copies of this for some reason. I picked up 1 copy to “test the waters” to see if it would sell quickly before going back for more. One month later it’s still sitting there.
