I Like What I'm Reading (not spec'ing, but like actually reading)!

So far Nuclear Family is an interesting read. Just got done issue 2. I’m going to keep reading for the moment.

Ive liked it so far.

I read #1 and ordered #2 because I liked the first issue a lot. I’ll be reading it once it arrives in the good ol’ mail.

Finished Proctor Valley Road #1. Meh. Based in the 70’s, which means you have to like the vibe of the period to let the story resonate somewhat. Story was slow. Characters are ok, but really didn’t excite me to continue reading it. Artwork was ok. Seems more on the kids side of style. I’ll pass on this series.

I liked it.

Yeah. I saw you liked it Anthony. I tried. The comic reminded more of an anime look and feel. Maybe it turns out to be big.

I also liked the issue, but I too found the art to be… not what I expected given the concept. I liked the characters and the story, and I didn’t hate the art, it was just a little incongruous.

I enjoyed the mish-mash of genres in, “Proctor Valley Road,” too.

After a few days off I have just caught up to date on a few comics.
Seven Secrets - I think it reads a load better now there are a few issues to go on and it was really entertaining.
We Live - Pretty good, drew me into caring about the characters.
We only find them when they’re dead - Cool idea, looked nice but it left me just a little cold.
Nocterra - Only one issue in but a promising start.
Skullcrusher and Skeleton Boy - I loved it, but I am a massive Black Hammer fan so probably biased. Now going to start Barbalien.
I’m excited for Geiger when it comes out this week too.

It reminds me of Harrow County in art and style. I think that is why I liked it so much.

But honestly there is nothing wrong with not liking something. Everyone has different tastes.

It was good too. I’ve liked basically any Black Hammer book.

Black Hammer was a great read.

Just read the The Silver Coin … was actually better than what I was expecting from it. Art was very good. Story was interesting. I like that it is a different story each book. Looking towards the next read.

Went to them LCS yesterday and picked up a TPB of Lemire’s run on Moon Knight. I have never read any Moon Knight but got the breakdown from one of the employees there. Man she knows her stuff (we spent about an hr talking about SW lol). So far it’s good.

I just read issue #2 of, “Nuclear Family,” last night. Interesting little book so far.

Its a pretty good book so far.

I have just finished reading Sean Murphy’s Curse of the White Knight and Harley White Knight series’. Murphy (not you, RoboCop) has done an incredible job in his world building inside his own lil’ Batverse. Great art, great story. It is a recommended read.

Finally read my copy of Vietnam Horror #1 from Behemoth. It had that 80s indie feel to it with the black and white interiors. Great read I thought, particularly if you’re into the 'Nam war stories. The only thing that would have made this better was if it was newsprint for the interiors.
