Yeah. They throw around the word “key” waaaaaay too liberally. Granted it’s their namesake.
Oh, that KCC…

Just canceled mine too.
And another useless thing about them…
Their “Hot 10” always seems to be established keys that had a single recent sale of the book in a grade that is slightly above the “average” from the average over 12 months.
This weeks “Hot 10”.
10.) Avengers Annual 10, a 9.8 copy sold for +12% ($66)
9.) Omega Men 3, a 9.8 copy sold for +3% ($8)
8.) Secret Wars 8, a copy 9.8 copy sold for +5% ($22)
7.) Hulk 340, a 9.8 copy sold for +22% ($239)
6.) ASM 238, a 9.8 copy sold for +5% ($64)
5.) Invincible 1, a 9.8 copy sold for +6% ($298)
4.) Batman 423, a 9.8 copy sold for +8% ($134)
3.) ASM 129, a 9.2 copy sold for +8% ($223)
2.) Star Wars 1 (1977), a 9.8 copy sold for +18% ($432)
1.) Absolute Batman, 26 copies outsold the 12 month average…(high of $404, avg $161).
None of these are really “hot” except ABM. I’d say the outlier sales are within a normal deviation in any given month…some are interesting but not indicative of any “new” trends that particular week.
So pretty much worthless information unless you live under a rock. But this data is what you’re paying for…!!!
