Modern Comics Heating Up (Those With Potential Too) (Part 1)

Sold 2 copies of Never Never for $25 a piece shipped. Super quick, these are still going. Hanging on to my last copy but will be monitoring what happens if supply dries up. Also good to see that the buyers were women. There may be a market for this that wasn’t comic book fans but rather the Peter Pan fan base that was picking these up also.

Yep, I have a comic shop I can walk to, and yet I never go there because of this. Instead, I drive 20 mins away to another shop. That entire store is unmarked except for brand new issues and even that-day of, he has watched ebay like a hawk and you aren’t getting anything for cover that is bringing even $2 more on ebay.
I really want to grab 50 books, take them to the counter, have him go through lookup and at the end say, “sorry too expensive, I’ve changed my mind.”

Marvel Action Spider-Man 4 coming out next week from IDW. The description for it teases a new villain, but next sentence mentions Screwball who has already appeared. It is sold out at Midtown at the moment. Anyone aware of this one has an actual first appearance?

It’s the first IDW appearance of Screwball who appeared in ASM #559

That is what I had too for her 1st but I thought maybe someone else was debuting. Is that a thing? Caring about 1st IDW appearance? Or is the sold out just coincidence.

Nah on some of the FOC shows Econ, Eastwest etc they all mentioned new character but wasnt sure if was an existing or new character. and add on the action books are under ordered anyway. So a sell out could happen quick/easily. If the 1:10 is good it can go for money. The Mysterio 1:10 goes for around $20 or so.

So the guys do spec shows and tell people what to buy, but can’t take the 12 seconds to look up and see if it’s a new character or have existing knowledge to know who the character was to begin with. I don’t think these people would be the best source for comic advice at least for me.

Shot in the dark, Veranda blonde roast with a shot of espresso. No milk, no sugar. I like my coffee like I like my heart- black.

Blonde roast tastes gooooood.

It also contains more caffeine than dark roast. Caffeine, like alcohol, burns off with more heat. Blonde roast and other lighter roasts are taken out closer to the “first crack” of the bean where caffeine begins to seep from the beans. Dark roast, French roast, keep going past that at a high temperature for longer, burning off more caffeine.

3 ways I take my coffee.

#1 Starbucks Guatemala roast French Press style. No sugar no milk

#2 Iced white mocha with 2 extra shots

#3 cold brew with nitro.

I only buy light roast beans, because of the caffeine.

I like Turkish coffee with a texture like molasses, a robustness that grows hair on your chest, and the grinds at the bottom
