People paying more for Nebula’s recent solo series than her 1st appearance cause of key collector showcasing some random youtubers spec
I was enjoying it until they canceled after what, issue #3 or so around COVID lockdown… I guess some bought extra copies and they wanna dump them off…
So this series didn’t even finish? Was it one of those that they released the final books virtually?
Let me check Marvel Unlimited as I never went back to read if they did.
Marvel Unlimited only has the first 2 issues available. So I’m gonna say… nope!
I know I have some first issues and I can’t find them now… of course when it’s the perfect time to sell. Heh!
Do people realize while they are buying crap from key collector alerts that there are established keys that are going up in value everyday and will sooner than later be out of reach.
ok Utra Mega heating up good now I can se my 2 copies.
Is Key Collector satan manifesting himself on Earth??? What an evil horrible app forcing people to buy comic books that you surely already have since you’re all so far ahead of the game. More money in your pockets is such a terrible, terrible thing.
The new market is telling you that books that you thought were not keys or important might be now. The new market is telling you that new collectors like awesome covers by awesome artists. There is more to this cover than just an appearance.
Maybe some people couldn’t care less what book she appears in the guts of for the first time when it has a cover as ugly as Avengers 257. Especially since it should be slabbed and you won’t even be able to see it. You know what people can see even when a book is slabbed? The cover.
You defend shitty books because you like to argue you don’t actually believe in Nebula #1
Also why spec on Nebula NOW when she’s been in several movies and episodes of what if. I don’t really know what else they can do to increase the value and doesn’t look like there’s any plans for a solo nebula movie or show
They put Luke Skywalker in a movie a couple months after his comic first. That comic first remained undervalued for 40 years. The original figures skyrocketed in price. Sometimes, there’s not much that can be done when a comic isn’t a market’s most favored collectible.
True but there was likely millions of those printed and we’re talking about a character that has generated millions if not billions in revenue. Sure Nebula was in the Avengers movies but we can’t credit her for being the main character generating all the cash for the movie. I like her as a character but we’re comparing apples to oranges here I think. I just don’t see Nebula being your Class A character in 40 years… more like a Class C, maybe B- character that’s great for supporting type roles.
Not really, the new market trends seem to be a bunch of sheep buying up whatever an app tells them to buy… before the book went on KCC, on Sept 21st this was a $2.99 book…
So is it really the market with organic growth or people just buying whatever app tells them to buy? I think it’s the latter… real organic growth sees a gradual growth over periods of time, not a sudden under cover price to $15+ within a day after a alert goes out!
Another sold listing from Sept 21st for only $2.24…
Most of the others prior to this appear to put the book around the $3 average range. So once again, nobody cared about this until KCC mentioned it, suddenly it’s the market telling us it’s valuable? I think not… more like sheep buying up a book that should still only be worth $3.99 or so for now!
Guys i’m telling you Nebula is gonna be huge, she’s gonna be bigger than Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman stock up on those Nebula 1’s , trust me bro- Some random person on the internet
Also, John Buscema did the cover for Avengers #257… He’s a legend if you ask me. I love the cover to Avengers #257.
This is what the guy who started this spec said:
Bry’s Comics: James Gunn recently stated Mantis and Nebula have sizable roles in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Premiere issues of first solo series are often overlooked but have huge potential as we’ve recently seen with Blade, Black Knight, Kate Bishop, Ironheart, America Chavez and Shuri
