They started as alt-comix guys. Piskor did Hip-Hop Family Tree which was good & it got him the X-Men Grand Design gig. Then his buddies started getting Marvel gigs as well. Tom Scolli did Fantastic Four Grand Design, he recently did a Jack Kirby bio-comic. I loved the Transformers vs. G. I. Joe series he did for IDW some years back. They do great interviews with creators on channel.
Oh yeah, Tom Scioli is amazing.
