There’s a sucker born every day.
He’s pricing it for 30 years in the future…gonna wait it out…
To be honest I don’t even think Mandalorian 1 (cover A raw) will be $150 in 30 years. However I do think the first cover of Mando and Grogu in a modern comic in Darth Vader 20 Sprouse variant has a chance. That book is somewhat monumental if you really think about it.
I don’t think I’m alone when I say the Mandalorian is what really turned me a Star Wars fan. It was just a few months ago that I finally decided to watch A New Hope for the very first time. Because of my love for comics and this forum its what has got me started in collecting Star Wars books.
There’s going to be a lot of younger people and kids who are just getting into Star Wars and the Mandalorian would be their gateway into the universe.
That’s why the more I think about it that Darth Vader Sprouse variant is going to be so important in the future. It’s still selling well but I’ve decided not to list any of my copies for the potential it does have. And even if it doesn’t reach that potential, I’ll still love to have these in my collection.
Sometimes making lowball offers is appropriate, right? If that’s what you meant.
I think Mando 2 Cheung will the best one to have out of the 3 (dv20,Mando 1 & 2) for Grogu. Supply, full app, demand, and on the cvr. This coming from someone who bought a lot of all three.
I think Mando 3 has a lot of spec 1st Cara Dune or if they even cut her from the book will have just as much spec.
If there is a cover with the Armorer on it, load up. First Armorer cover will be a key.
None so far. We’re all on high alert.
I’m curious: why is there what seems to be more interest about the Armourer than, say, Fennec Stand, or another supporting character?
Probably because they are under the radar. Everyone will buy Mando and Grogu at release. People will sleep on the smaller characters that can potentially play a larger role
Probably because the Armorer is so steeped in Mandalorian lore. She’s a font of canonical info in live action. She’s a dogmatic zealot. A fundamentalist. We have tons of scoundrels and bounty hunters for hire. I don’t recall somebody other than Jedi or Sith who are so dogmatic as Armorer.
She also really speaks to young girls for one reason or another. Emily Swallow is a darling on the con circuit and an inspiration to the young girls attending to meet her. That probably plays pretty heavily into it for the younger audience.
You have to remember that, Ahsoka is all fine and good, but even her clone wars appearances are almost a generation of kids in the past now. She’s new to aging Star Wars fans like me, but not so new to young fans.
Other than that, there’s some undefinable “IT” factor about the character.
This is the way.
“The Boys,” seems to keep creeping up in price thanks to the show getting more and more popular.
They can’t cut her from the book. And Sanctuary is episode 4 (issue 4). She’s too integral to the story not to include her.
Buy if they did write her out, it make the Panini graphic novel more interesting…as she is in that.
i dont think issue 3 will have any significate 1st apps
