I’ll take the ribbing but imo one of the greatest series of all time was “This Is Us” and I believe it was written/established with an end game in mind from the start of 6 seasons and that is what they kept to even after the success of it.
I agree, and it is one of the shows that my wife and I make a point to watch together. Nothing wrong with watching and enjoying a highly emotional show.
May 2023 solicits are out from Marvel:
My favorites (obvi Star Wars):
Lando 1 Rahzzah
Lando 1 Brown
High Republic 9 Aja
Yoda 7 Noto
Star Wars 34 JTC
And my least favorite:
Doctor Aphra 32 Yoon
Love me a good Aja cover.
Not one of those shows ended after the 3rd season.
I think DW read your sentence as it was written and not how you meant it.
They did end after their third season. If you mean ended at or with their third season, then yes, you are correct. None of those shows ended at their third season.
I answered the question as asked.
If asked as “which shows ended without a 4th season”, I may have answered differently.
For the record, I read it like DW also, hence my This is Us response.
The whole 3rd season question also negated my original statement of:
I didn’t imply there were great shows that ended at season 3, I’m implying great shows should only be between 3 and up to 6 seasons.
But one great show that only lasted 2 seasons was Gravity Falls if you want that question answered. I think a lot of people would also claim Firefly was great, yet it didn’t technically end due to the story but it only had 1 season.
I never realized the greatness of gravity falls until I watched it with my son recently. Was real sad it ended, great shows have a way of sticking with you after they end. That was one of them.
Gravity falls is amazing and so deep. The level of stuff encoded into it is overwhelming.
This Is Us s01 was phenomenal! Still gotta finish other seasons because reasons
Probably because Supergirl from Tha Flash looks like Lara when she has explicitly said she is Kara.
Who knows with all these speculators!
Had a look at the trending 20 on KCC, wow it’s been a long time since I saw such a shit list of books all together
Why attack someone instead of just admitting that the initial question could be interpreted in more than one way? I too interpreted your question the same way as DW btw…
I understood the question and answered it.
Star Trek was a quality show for its time period. The only reason it got canned after 3 was budget and poor ratings due to being placed in terrible time slots.
I still love watching reruns. The fact that its Legacy still carry’s on strong 45 years later is a testament to how good the original series concept, innovation and story telling really was.
“The Mick,” deserved more seasons. I just blogged about how great it was. I miss that show.
