It’s nice to see this book getting more attention, I ordered all the 3 covers available through diamond before it’s release and always loved the Frison cover above all then others. It’s the only cover I sent off to CGC. So great to see it getting love.

Out of the insane amount of SIKTC 16 covers… I only got the Frison cover also for my PC.

Have any of the usual suspects put out an alert on Avengers Academy #1? I noticed all “cheap” copies disappeared and only a copy or two online including my newsstand copy.

Midtown comics used to have a warehouse sale some years ago and I remember seeing almost half a long box of those Dark Avengers variants in there for a $1, if I would have only known.

Well I’ve been speculating on the book obviously, so I can’t condone them for doing the same.
The only downside for me on those lists is when they happen upon a book I’m trying to stock up on & it suddenly puts an end to it.
Sure…there aren’t a ton of unknown books…but once they do happen to hit those lists, key collector, etc…I have to resort to “in the wild” buys.

Odd that KC still lists the Dark Avengers 1 Granov (1:50) at $2, $8, $25
And the Midtown version is $2, $8, $20
Or am I missing something?
Seen some ig posts talking up the eternals books, and checked eBay prices, holy cow they’ve exploded since that mini trailer thing marvel dropped the other day. I thought I had missed the boat when I bought my copies in the pic below…they’re now 4-5x my buy in

Isn’t that so irritating? No ones paying attention at all to a certain book and then they add it to a list and your cheap spec book gets expensive in a minute. Good when you’ve been able to stock up though. You win some and lose some.

It wouldn’t annoy me as much if they used better logic or reasoning. Most of their picks come down to "hey this is a cool cover with this character, or this character is fairly popular, here’s a book with some print run number they pulled out their butt and they call it “low”

I had two, “Avengers Academy,” issues I got for cheap and sold for pretty cheap. So I missed the prime selling time on that one, but I made a profit so I’ll keep moving along.
Love profit! Let me tell you, the Black Widow 6 has been flying off the shelf. Sold 8 tonight for $17 a piece. Still waiting for the 1:25 and Cover A combo to sell…I feel its only a matter of time…
