This isn’t hard. Every store that DOES use Lunar knew about Heartless and everyone that pre-orders their books online also knew about Heartless, so everyone had LOTS of time and opportunity to buy it and stores definitely ordered more than normal. I mean, he’s on the cover, so it was at the very least his first cover appearance.
Usagi may be “available” at more stores, but nearly every LCS orders that book based on pull lists only. I have a dozen LCSs in my area and not a single one ordered one for the shelf and none had enough subscriptions to have ordered 10 to get the incentive copy, so those are going to be realllly rare.
A new character in a series coming to Netflix, in a book that was really under ordered SHOULD be worth more than the 3rd appearance of a villain we may see in a decade when some hack takes a third crack at a Nightwing movie.
I have not read this story yet, but it seems to be selling a lot of copies: Proctor Valley Road. I know when I read the background of the title, I was like, hey, this is something that people would love to watch… I am interested if anyone has read it, and if so, if they think it might be a long term show type comic?
I am reading it and like it. It’s Dazed and Confused meets Stranger Things. It’s enjoyable, but not earth shattering or anything. I can’t pretend to know what will get a show or whatever, but it would definitely be adaptable, even maybe serializable.
OK, I don’t want to make a new thread on this but apparently Tim Drake is all over the internet and on reddit. Looks like he’s going to be part of the LGBT+ community. Haven’t been keeping up with what’s happening. What do you guys think? We know that Tim is coming to Titans S3. Tynion says he is a huge fan of Drake and has big plans for him. I remember this book being talked about years ago in the G+ pages. I can’t 100% remember, but might’ve been $1-$1.5k book at the time?? Wishing I had pulled the trigger.
