Yes. That parillo still goes for nothing even though it’s awesome.
Yes and I have a couple of that one
To quote @monopolyjackson
“Da fuk?”
I just grabbed 2 copies…left a third on the shelf as I didn’t want to be one of those people…
I didn’t even think to check variants…
Hit a new shop up. New honey hole. Got lots of Mora goods…
Man. I just put my copy of Dark Patterns 2 up for $40 as @EricR mentioned. It sold in 45 minutes.
I looked and didn’t find any.
Thanks my friends…and…shop was having 50% off back issues sale. (And a fill a short box for $50 in their warehouse… I’ll post that dig results later)
Bingo!
Found 1 copy at my store for $3.
Wow. Sadly I only have issue #1.
Looks like everyone is about to flood eBay, and subsequently undercut each other.
I went to several shops today, only found the two which were at the first shop I visited.
Word travels fast…I didn’t even know this title existed before last night.
Side-by-side they look like two eyes…
All conspire not to take a price below a certain point and all list for the same amount.
I checked some online shops and physical. No luck for the Dark Patterns.
Sales seem to have leveled to $35-$40. I sold one of my copies for $40 last night. I kept dropping the price throughout the day as the undercutters joined the party.
Sold mine as well. On to the next flip.
Now the problem. Hold to see if demand can overcome the flood, such that the price rises. Or take the money now and flip my last copy. I need to flip through it and gage what this character has going for it. I struggle with why this character?
I may run to my LcS in a little bit to see if they have a copy lingering. And any Red Hood books in the 34-36 range. It’s highly unlikely so not on a rush to go out until later when I have other errands to do.
I think the villain is on the B variant….and card stock tends to damage easily. So likely the book to own if this character bas legs.
Sell
I liked the villain, but is it a $40 book? Well, I guess it is if that’s what people want to pay.
I’m so surprised at these random non-issue #1s that seem to spike. Dracula 3. Helen of Wyndhorn 2. I still have no idea who these people are that keep buying these, but I’m very cool with it.
Totally anecdotal, but after hitting a bunch of local comic shops, I think the sales for Dark Patterns are because it’s tough to find. A couple shops I thought for sure would have back issues had nothing: one literally no issues, and a big store only had 3 copies of the current issue A cover. Other stores got sparse for any issue older than #6, and almost no one had any B cardstock covers.
Between being a miniseries, yet another Bat title, and starting before Hayden Sherman’s profile rose with Absolute Wonder Woman and their Eisner win, it looks like shops around here have ordered lightly.
