She is a little shy and works exclusively digital. Here’s a nice original piece she did for me in my sketchbook
Marvel Rivals variants drying up real fast. Venom already gone at MCS. Midtown has been out of all 3 for a while.
Venom was sold out at Midtown by Thursday last week.
This caused me to pull my SW 7’s that had been sitting and not moving on eBay. Relisted them at a slightly higher price and they sold.
All hail the algorithm
Which Nightwing should I be on the lookout for?
Never mind I found it.
Shatterstar (2018) 1 - 3 are all great Putri covers. All dollar bin books for now…
Picked up a copy of teh All-New Venom #2 Rivals variant on lunch. Don’t sleep on the Rivals Magik variant either…
Don’t sleep on any of the five. Storm and the Jeff/Galacta variants were FOC’ed so long ago with likely slim print runs compared to the now apparent demand.
I don’t want to be a Debby downer…Who am I kidding, I do want to be a Debby Downer… Anyway, Marvel loves money more than collectors’ happiness and the odds of some or all of these rival covers becoming virgin 2nd print 1:25 variant are pretty high, which will impact a lot of the value the first prints are getting.
The art has been released for the 2nd prints. Venom and Magik have second prints and they don’t use the Rivals art. I bet the Galacta/Jeff one gets a virgin later.
That’s good to know. With how popular the covers are getting Marvel will do a third print, just so dealers and collectors chase the 1:25. It’s become such a standard process with them the past half decade or so.
I had the Venom Rivals in my hands yesterday and after getting so many of the variants I put it down. I might stop by my shop later today to see if they still have these.
BTW, this might not be spec talk, but just read Absolute Batman #4.
I have to say that I’m thoroughly enjoying this series way more than just the ability to sell the books.
I also read and like Ultimate Spider-Man, but the story for Batman seems more compelling somehow?
Really like the fact that they showed Joker in a couple of panels in #1, but haven’t gone back to that story strope since. Normally, not a fan of origin retellings, but have found this to have good unexpected plot points (especially end of #3 and Bruce’s decision).
Just thought I would put my two cents in.
Back to spec-I’ve mentioned before Geiger: Ground Zero #2 (Cover A) being a good seller $20-$30 if you see it on the racks, but now #1 Cover A is also moving. Buy if you see them.
Batman #4 story is good, interior art not so good…
Found some Venom and Spidey Rival variants today. They sold quickly! Thanks for making me aware of them, CHU forum!
