That email could mislead to people thinking they don’t have to report such sales on their taxes. Yes, it saves eBay time with doing the forms to report income but what most forget is, just because the 3rd party isn’t reporting doesn’t allow you a free pass in not paying for such things. Pay your taxes!

D-Rog - Where is that info from please. I live in IL but never have seen a different level other than federal before.
I keep my handy spreadsheet of purchases and sales so the government can see I always spent more than I made.
