Not sure I’ll be able to get his auto prices. But I believe he’s there every year. You can probably do a google search and find out his past years too.

Despite my negativity in some posts so far. I do have some positive stories which I’ll share in a recap. Kind people doing favors at the hint I was getting a little frustrated.
Also, it looks like I didn’t miss too much of the panels I missed.
- Absolute DC was just announcing the Absolute Justice League. No Giveaway.
- Marvel Midnight was mainly sharing what was coming up in issue 4 of the 3 books. Giveaway was just an advance copy of issue 2 of Spider-Man. (yawn)
- I’ve heard nothing of the Marvel Magic the Gathering panel. Would have thought they’d give away a promo card, but nothing on eBay I’ve seen as of yet.
Last day today. I’ve got a packed agenda right from the gate through 7pm. My panels hopefully will be the Energon Universe (last few years have been ashcans), McFarlane Toys (says there are giveaways) and Marvel House of ideas (assuming a comic will be handed out).

So today has gotten off to an interesting start.
Got to the Metro North Station, and the repeated announcement was the best bound train was going to be coming in on opposite side of the tracks. Everyone waiting was on tag side. So I went up and over the footbridge. Plenty of time.
But the train comes in on its normal track. And because of
Bridgework down the line it’s the last train for about 4 hrs, basically if I miss it I’m driving in to NYC (2hrs) and paying for parking (vice free at the metro).
The train would normally stay for a it a minute before departing…so everyone starts running for the stairs to the overpass walkway!!
Fortunately the conductor realized the issue and waited for everyone to board. Delayed the train about 11 minutes. Still got here with plenty of time, but could t help but thing “so this is how today is going to go?”
And we’re off!!

Same. The last one in 2019 right before COVID hit was my last one and it was so frustrating then and sounds like it’s only gotten worse.
But honestly, what I mostly enjoyed going to NYCC was hanging out with @Anthony and at the time Tyson who was our toy guy on the site, finding and convincing Anthony to eat at hole in the wall restaurants drinking good beer.

When I’m on the road, I like cheap food and cheap beer. But the place we went where we get kicked out because the guy from Key and Peele needed our table was a good spot. I took my wife there.

TRANSFORMERS & G.I. JOE: WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE ENERGON UNIVERSE?
I know not many are into the Energon Universe, but I did attend the panel this morning and have a few things to share.
Transformers will be introducing/reintroduciing/reimaging some character in the coming months.
Of note is a version of Megatron that seems to be a blend of his days as a “tank” as well as his beast wars form. Megatronus Rex is coming and will be on the cover of issue 38A.
Also coming are the Dinobots (finally).
For GI Joe looks like Baroness is going to Cobra’s side…which is not really a new concept…but they seemed think this was a big thing. There will be many sexy covers.

Here are some toy reveals from the past el which just started.
Beefcake is coming to toys!!!
There’s a fun story here. Walmart is taking the DC licensing, so McFarland Toys wants to push the envelop, have some fun and put the pressure on Walmart to “top that!”
This set will come with a comic that homages the original characters on the cover that pose the toys.
Statues of more Absolute characters coming.

So apparently “give aways” must mean “reveals.” Because they did t hand anything out after.
So missed out on the “spider-web” marvel panel and the giveaway that because of that interpretation. Looks like a mono Momoko variant of miles.
Hopefully won’t get bumped from the next marvel panel (like I was yesterday) because of people sticking around for both panels as they are back to back.

Depending on what they hand out for this House of Ideas panel, may have to go to the “swap” later…
Thinking it could be a first of a character…being it’s a panel about “ideas”…we’ll see. But you’ll hear it first here!

A new series. Can’t reveal the main cover just yet until Avengers Armageddon (issue #4?) comes out in a few weeks. Something related to Bucky getting incinerated…

Variant cover is interesting.
Oh, forgot Iman Vellani was introduced and is going to be creatively involved in an upcoming book.
She has an independent comic currently.
