Have a small stack of Beta Ray Bill first app so it would be awesome if they use him… Both for my greed and it would also be pretty cool to see him on the big screen.

Swung by my lcs for this week’s books after a delicious bbq dinner (and that was after the boys went to Skyzone for 4.5 hours). My lcs does $5 packs of 15 comics pre-gift wrapped. For .33 cents each I have a hard time passing them up. Picked up a horror pack, well it wasn’t really horror because it was crammed full of spawn books, but I wasn’t disappointed because three of them were Mark Spears covers. Turned out to be a win for me.

My folks visited for the holidays and my sister who lives a bit closer than them but is still a couple of hours away. It is fun to see family but it can be draining having a bunch of people in your house!

My buddy just text me that he broke his leg. He was walking to his car and stepped on black ice. Leg went in two different directions. He’s in the hospital being prepped for surgery.
Just a reminder to everyone here that accidents can happen anywhere and to be careful of your surroundings. He’s really bummed out.

Any idea what the recovery time is? Sounds awful…painful even.
Don’t know yet, he hasn’t got back to me since this morning. Told him to update me when the surgery is done. Rough way to start the new year. Young guy too, 35.

So it looks like it’s going to be 4 months to a year recovery. He broke his leg in 3 places walking down the stairs. Oooof, more painful than I originally thought.
My direct boss broke his leg last February. Femur and most of his hand in a fall while working on his house. He’s still doing rehab to walk without a cane.

Yes sir. My boss isn’t that much older than myself so yeah, older you get, the longer the recovery for sure… My boss since it’s required to type at a keyboard for 95% of our work was out for 4 months of work just to get his hand recovered.
I fell off my roof once. Ladder lost footing as I was putting weight on it. I was taken away in an ambulance. Fortunately I only fell from one story and the ladder sort of broke my fall. Landed on my side as well…x-rays were all negative…was just sore for about week with some bruising in the ribs…very lucky. It hurt.
This happened when my son was about a week old…my wife was not happy with me. Needless to say I got a new ladder after that.
The other thing is that at some point you don’t recover…Once you start falling and become immobile you just spiral downward from there.
A guy at work was leaving to go home and got caught in a gate closing…he was probably late 60s…should have retired but kept working…I passed by him on my way out…he was a little banged up but paramedics were helping him out…seemed like he was just rattled mostly. However he was out for A few weeks but never recovered from the injury …passed away from complications within a month.
After my youngest was sick I seem to have developed the norovirus spreading like wildfire. My New Year’s Eve is full of vomit and pooping myself and I didn’t even have any drinks…
Hopefully you leave that behind in 2024 and start 2025 fresh and healthy.
It’s going around. I have heard so many people getting it.
I feel a bit better today but now our eldest spent the night throwing up every 2 hours or so. Happy new year!
