Sometimes it’s just good to get rid of stuff.
always nice to see beneath the trees getting movement
It seems Glenn Fabry (who I feel is an outstanding artist), is with some significant health issues.
I’ve met the guy a number of times in NY and he is a blast and a throwback to the old days of just loving to chat with fans, kindly sign books, a “little bit” of spirits, getting to know folks, and personally show & talk about his portfolio art. IMO - a really really good guy.
So BCW is increasing prices, but not changing MSRP. They expect comic shops to absorb the increase.
Absorbing Costs to Support Your Store Amid Tariff Changes
As part of the collector community, your store plays a key role in keeping the hobby vibrant. You’ve worked hard to build trust with your customers—and we’re here to help you continue doing just that, even as conditions change.
In response to newly enacted tariffs, BCW is absorbing some of these costs to minimize the impact on your business. In an effort to keep our base product costs steady, we will implement a tariff surcharge on items where we cannot absorb the full cost of these rapid changes. For products manufactured in China, we are implementing a 34% Tariff Surcharge for all wholesale orders. This strategic decision supports our ability to maintain inventory and service levels without passing along the full effect of rising costs.
We understand how important consistent pricing and product availability are to your business. That’s why:
- Wholesale orders will be invoiced at the lower of two rates—the surcharge in effect when the order was placed or when it ships.
- Products made in the USA or sourced outside China are not affected.
- Products sourced from China are clearly marked with a red Chinese flag icon
on their item pages.
- The surcharge rate may be adjusted as international trade guidance evolves—and changes may occur with little notice.
- Due to limitations, the surcharge amount is not counted toward order totals used to determine free shipping eligibility.
If tariffs are lifted in the future, the surcharge will be removed as well—helping you return to the strong margins your store relies on.
You might be considering a price increase at your store—or holding steady for now. Either way, we know your customers ultimately decide what the market can bear. Some may absorb a modest increase, others may pull back. While BCW is holding MSRP to help maintain market stability, we understand the pressure this puts on your margins. We’re here to support you with transparency, reliability, and steady supply. Let’s keep the conversation going and continue building a strong partnership through this shift.

expecting stores to eat the increase is insane, also they dont count the extra 34% toward the free shipping minimum order lol
Stores have always had a variable price on these. There’s no listed MSRP on the product unless I’ve missed that.
But yep, prices are gonna jump. Might be wise to buy your supplies NOW. Reminds me. I better get a Matt’s mailer order in now before those jump.
I stockpiled comic supplies from Comic Pro Line: 56pt boards, clear boards, bags and top loaders.
This looks promising…but I have a sinking feeling that for budget reasons it will be 90% people in those suspended treadmill looking devices and and only 10% actual Jaeger/Kaiju.
I am all for this!
So I bought my son a shirt to stick in his Easter basket. This thing has lines from like 2 or 3 different Spider-Man issues + Secret Wars 8 all on one shirt. Plus the random 300 that makes little sense to anyone outside of the comic book community.
I’m sure he will love it. Awesome shirt!
fyi, there are 2 diffrent ashcans for EC, pink mask was sent to stores, grey mask was given out at comicspro and a con
Ashcans have variants now? What a World.
