Should respond, “but was it cancelled?”
I’m not sure if MCS was clear on that…
The I Hate Fairylands came out today as well.
Thats kind of funny you mention that, cuz I did
Peacock. Huh huh huh….
I watched a chunk of the first season of, “Heavy Metal,” and enjoyed it. Got distracted and forgot to finish the program. I will try to go back and do so.
I have a complete run of the waking dead comics and just checked the prices. GEEZ Walking dead books are down over 50%-70%. what happened to the walking dead?
The same thing that’s been happening with 99.9% of modern comics. The only exception is Invincible…for now.
Those have been in decline for a while now. I started dumping mine a long time ago right before they really started to plummet. Show got tiresome (at least for me, I stopped watching the show after Season 7 ended), they started losing viewers and it’s pretty much dead now so less interest in owning the comics for a lot of folks.
Because it’s still alive and active with new episodes and seasons. Same thing will happen after the show starts to slow down or end… people and collectors move on!
Actually not everything goes down eventually (for now until the hobby dies), Golden Age keys seems to be holding up very well. But of course that has to do with scarcity and the fact that demand outweighs the supply.
I haven’t gone down that route in collecting and selling because these golden age keys are so hard to come by in my area for affordable prices. Dealers here like to jack up the prices sometimes many times over FMV, so it makes collecting and selling infeasible.
I’ve mentioned before that in my area we have so many garage/yard sales every week and even thrift stores. If I take a walk along my block there’s already 3 or 4 thrift shops and used book stores just in my block alone. My area is flooded with thrift/antique shops and used book stores. Somehow I’ve never been able find any good comics like so many of you guys here do. My dream is just to find a giant stash of golden/silver age comics in some grimy antique shop one day and be set for life lol. Just need to keep persisting looking out for it, there’s so many shops in my area for that.
Yes, everything is case by case type of scenario. One must also realize, in the golden and silver ages, there were more readers than collectors too more than likely. They treated them as periodicals you toss out when done reading. You bought to read, that was your entertainment you got from the expenditure.
How many of you all had your parents say something like, “grandma threw out my shoe box of baseball cards” cause who knew that Mantle 52 Rookie card was gonna be worth thousands. It was just a silly card at the time to a lot of people.
And there are still people like that today. What one sees valuable, another might not so much. I wouldn’t spend a damn nickel on a creepy doll but I know there’s collectors out there and a market for it. But nope… not me.
