Whatnot’s comic category is flooded with wannabe influencers selling lame mystery boxes of worthless comics. eBay seems to try to curate at least a tiny bit more?

Waiting on payment on a bundle of three more books. But they might not close until after midnight. Sold another Absolute Martian Manhunter 3 2nd print. Those bring me money every time.

Five so far today. I ran out of mailers in 15 days. New mailers won’t be in until tomorrow.
Hitting the shops. Buying Absolute books and selling like crazy. Price checking other issues.

anthony you are a legend, everyone should follow suit.
I am doing it with a purpose. I plan stacking as much cash into my kids investment account as possible. I took it from $1000 to $2400 last year. I am trying to double it again.
I have four boxes of comics I sell out of. I refill them often. I have been in the shops hitting the same stacks and surprised to find new books daily.
One of my biggest sellers has been Absolute Martian Manhunter #3 2nd print. Not sure if this is something someone mentioned or something I price checked. I have sold about 10-15 copies of this book alone (maybe more I would need to count) at $16.99 each. 3x cover at quantity.
In addition all the extra eyes on my hot books has upped my other books in the algorithm allowing me to move more of the stuff that just sits there.
Last month I used 211 of my 250 free listings, some I just kept adding copies to.

Also selling on Mercari has been a huge help. While eBay is still the dollar and unit mover, Mercari certainly adds to it.
Absolute Martian Manhunter 3, 4 and 5 are definitely easy sells at the moment, especially #3. I bought some #3 second prints by accident and was happily surprised they not only sold, but at profit. I haven’t tested out second prints for 4 and 5.
What is selling on Mecari? Seems a different clientele compared to ebay.
It is. I tend to price things a little higher because people like to make offers. I sell a lot of bundles on there where people will add a bunch of things to their cart and send over a fixed price. I can also sell things that I can’t sell on eBay like mature titles.

Any experience with the “Cherry” title on Mercari?
I have an expensive Cherry title w/ Adam Hughes cover I’ve been wanting to unload for awhile.
Ebay takes it down.
Took it to a small convention too, and got a very crossed look from an older woman who saw it on my table.
No but I have sold other mature titles on there. Worst thing you can do is throw them on there and give it a try.
It is free to list. You don’t get paid until the book is delivered and they rate you, which can be frustrating. You only pay a percentage of the sale. Buyer pays the other half.
