I sold a set of the Zealot mini series from the 90s to a buyer named Terry Shoemaker who was the artist of the book, not sure if it was a coincidence or not but can’t imagine that name is common haha

I like the ‘cloaked cover’ style and I was a little sad making pre-orders to find out that the first issue won’t be ‘cloaked.’ I was even hoping a little bit that they might go back to the acetate covers used on Marvels to put the black bars in and then you open to the full artwork. I guess doing the same with regular paper is cheaper.
On a related note, a friend pointed out that the art for the first issue with the bug on his chest is very similar to Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man:

There’s no way that dude doesn’t know what eBay is and had no clue what the value was.
Gotta love a show with the word Antiques in it’s name is showcasing a modern book that is by far not even close to being antique…

Pretty sure I’d remember such an episode and they edited in a comic or it’s AI with some further edits… It’s most likely a fake joke.

I believe they admitted it was originally a copy of Avengers #2.
So I am in Reading PA this week. Went to two comic shops. First was Symbiote Collectables. Neat store. Lots of cool toys. Comic section is all beat up and way over priced. Second one I went to was Golden Eagle Comics. Big store. Lots of back issues. Back issues are all in old bags, mostly no boards. Was looking in the Detective comics section and there was a big dead spider on top of the books. Did purchase a couple of books and they let me use their bathroom so I could wash my hands. Kind of gross. Had a mildew smell.

The forum has had a lot of lurkers over the past three days. Lots of traffic.
There is a Japanese pagoda on Penn Mountain in West Reading PA. Went into town looking for food and saw it. Drive three miles of winding mountain roads to get to it. Best thing I have done this week.

Noticed a large uptick in the amount of sales I have done this week. I have done more sales this week than I did in the month leading up to SDCC

My sales were relatively stagnant then all of a sudden picked up this weekend.
I complained about slow sales mid month and then promptly went on a 8 of 10 day sales streak…
Obviously this site is magic!
