He’s calling it “1st signed” CGC books at a ridiculous selling premium because they are… well… 1st signed!.
I guess this is next up in the hobby for creating something out of nothing and making it a collectible.
Watch this silliness catch on in the CGC Signature world (is it already a thing? - I dunno)
Alex Ross is possibly even worse than JSC for making many things out of one thing and doing as little work as possible, for maximum profit.
I’m not sure if I’m very impressed or disgusted; but I aint buyin. That’s for sure.

The considerable growth of publishers and artists being direct market sellers of their goods is a reason why comic shops aren’t viable and they have to be hobby/nerd shops.

So basically talking a comic that he hasn’t signed any and calling it the first, then sending it to CGC?
You could probably using CGC, PSA, CBCS numbers find out which signature series was first if someone wanted to dig. That would be interesting to chase down existing books!

Yea… I don’t know what this guy is doing anymore or how he’s doing it. I’ve mostly checked out
But for the last 12 - 15 years, he has definitely soured on me.
Not because of his art, but because of the abundance of “nonsense”.
Oh, you mean you don’t want to pay $1k for a CGC 10 facsimile? 
I do think the “1st signed” is going to keep spreading. It’s been rumbling around for a while.

Marvel is garbage. Their artwork is limited with creativity. Some of their stories catered to small segments of populations and drove off the average reader. They have too many titles and release way too many variants. The comic guys left the building and the business guys are ruining it. Was easy to see coming. Image is 100x better than Marvel.

I will say Jed’s work on Moon Knight is fantastic. The relaunches and such get annoying but he’s always the writer and it’s among my favorite runs on the character.

Anyone have success removing price tags from tpbs? I’m thinking of trying a blow dryer, but I’m not sure if that works for these.
You need to use a mini iron to warm up the price tag. Next remove it with a scotty peeler

Have now sold 43 copies of ASM 1000. Mostly LCSD and the cover A but also foils and Romitas and Bagleys. Love when a book is selling and I have access to a large amount of them.
