TFAW Closing

Got my last order in. Some books came damaged. They refunded me.

Even at the end, they still didnt do a good job on quality control…

Funny thing is I got my last order as well. I always had mine shipped in a Gemini mailer. These came in a photo mailer.

My last shipment, a single book, came in a gemini.

However it was a ratio variant. Which I think they ship in Gemini’s regardless of the number of books in the order.

Mine came in a Gemini mailer. But they had water damage. As if someone had set them on top of water. It was weird.

I mean, to be fair to the people packing it I can’t imagine they were in the best mindspace knowing they’re out of work soon. It’s the one time I can’t really fault anyone in the warehouse for doing a poor job.

Yup, you gotta pay $ with incentive type bonuses to the employees to actually care…

Granted things may have changed, but when I was there the TFAW/DH warehouse paid slightly higher than Amazon, but had WAY better benefits. PTO, actual regular shifts/hours, 401k matching, great health plans, etc. As far as warehouse jobs and that nature of jobs in the PDX area went, it was definitely one of the better ones I knew of, outside from the boredom of having to pack comic after comic after comic and get told by CS you did bad

Sorry, I meant retention type bonuses… not incentive. When folks know their job is coming to an end, you gotta pay them to either stick it out and do good work, if you don’t, they have every right to bail since they’re on the job market again.

My last shipment arrived…

Ah, the memories…

All those incentives in one shipment, eh?

yup, there was no limit when I placed the order on FOC ( not the first time either  )

I can thank @MJC for the heads up on the Last Boy 1 Hughes ratio back in February
