Exactly. This was semi-fresh in my mind as well because he’s been churning out $1,000+ Batman sketches that are pretty much all the same (silhouetted Batman with next to no detail and a Batarang on a rope). I guess more power to him for making bank if it’s what sells, but it feels super phoned in to me.

Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman and Absolute Superman have had some consistently terrible covers. There has been very few exceptions.

Sometimes the negative space doesn’t work.
