He should be tough if he spent 3 years getting smacked in practice by Payne and Allen. I don’t think I’d trade for him though if it required losing Adrian Peterson, Derrius Guice and he can’t possibly touch the BEST RUNNING BACK in this years draft according to his own video.
I can’t wait to see this kid in the mix.

Another concussion for Jordan Reed.
As someone who has spent a great deal of my career rehabing TBI patients…he needs to retire immediately. Very unfortunate & he will pay a sad price. I hope he doesn’t keep going.

It was a dirty play and he came back in for plays after that before they enacted the protocol thing so hopefully it wasn’t anything other than a precautionary thing.
Reed seemed fine following the collision, bouncing right up and strutting up the field to signal a first down. He continued to play for the rest of the drive, and only later in the second half was it announced that he would be entering the concussion protocol.
It seems like a lot of us like talking football on here. Which is good I think it’s ok to give the comic and spec talk a break once in a while.

Maybe just keep it all going in this 2019 topic until next year, then start the 2020 Football Season topic…
I will probably be adding an NBA topic closer to the end of October, as that’s my sport of choice. Then NCAA Basketball in March.
Biggest spec of the week. Will the Redskins and Titans pull off a trade for their two holdouts? Titans have a need in the O-Line and would get a 7 time Pro Bowler and the Redskins would get a beast of a DE with Franchise Tag level ability. 
Apparently I have a fantasy draft in 20 minutes I just found out about. Also, I’m #1 in the draft order.
Barkley first? I was thinking Mahoney, but last year this group drafted RB heavy and Patrick is currently ranked #43. Maybe he slips to 24???

5 and 0 start shocks the nation based off a stiff ball hawking defense and a conservative running game highlighted by Peterson and Guice combining for over 200 yards a game through what most professional analysts considered the impossible part of the season and easily the worst 5 game stretch in football scheduling this year for any team. The receiving corp largely considered to be the worst in the nation leads the nation in receptions over 20 yards as teams stuff the box hoping to stop the run leaving opportunities that were taken advantage of repeatedly by a veteran QB taping back into a little of the magic he had back in 2017. The O-Line although not as dominate as expected they will be in the back half of the season when Trent Williams returns in week 7 so he gets his 8 games in to avoid having his contract carry over an extra year unchanged was helped out repeatedly with play action passes and some exceptional blitz pick ups by running backs at a seemingly unwavering pace no matter which back was on the field at the time. Special teams have been exceptional again in all aspects of the kicking again with the return of solid veterans and the electric returns of Rookie Stephen Sims who manages to make a splash a couple times at receiver as well per game.
You know, are my team but you’re really stretching it I think… gonna be more like 2-3 or maybe even 1-4 to start the season off. I don’t really pay attention until the end though. All I know is, Redskins are gonna suck but as long as they beat the Cowboys during regular season, that’s the only thing that gets me excited. Beating the Cowboys is better than winning the Superbowl. 
5-2 start last year before the injury bug set in.
Both loses were to exceptional QB’s having exceptional games, Luck and Breese. The D has improved noticeably with Collins, Rookie Sweat adding to the pass rush, and Josh Norman claiming it’s the best defense he’s ever been a part of this year.
The special teams are the same in kicking and should get a boost from the returners. Way may actually be better punting this year. It feels like this preseason should have set a record for most muffed punts from a left footed kicker!! I don’t know if he’s kicking it higher or what’s different but I can’t remember seeing so many drops trying to catch his kicks.
The O line is a question but that’s a lot of beef for running behind, especially on the left side. The RB’s have been exceptional at helping in pass protection.
AP doesn’t appear to have lost anything, Guice may actually be better right now and Chris Thompson is back. The only problem I see is how to get 40 handoffs a game to keep them all happy. You will see a 300 yard rushing game combined this year.
The tight ends are solid as long as they’re healthy. I’m not sure yet they’ve got that 6’8" freak size rookie ready but he really laid out last night and brought in a nice catch. I can see him having 2 or 3 specialty goal line possession type jump plays noone can defend if there’s room on the roster.
The wideouts are huge and even though they don’t scare anyone based on established stats, they could be beasts blocking in the run game and there’s some nice talent and speed there. It’s the one area I really feel is extremely underestimated right now.
Haskins as the back up QB appears to have shown improvement again last night. The stats would have been great if it wasn’t for 3 or 4 drops from receivers on the bubble of making the team. His best scramble and throw was called back by penalty again. He did show he’s getting better.
This kid is going to be some kind of special as he gets more and more experience. Even when he doesn’t get there you still have to throw over him. Tallest linebacker in the NFC. I can’t wait to see if the put out another video from last nights game for him.
