An NFL game is like a chess match. You need to not only look at the play that just happened, but you need to read ‘between the lines’ as to what that play may be setting up for all subsequent plays. Some teams will occasionally employ the ‘hurry up’ offense, and in those situations, there is only 15-20 seconds between plays. Basketball is very similar to football, as far as pace of play, with the NBA having an average of 40-45 whistles per 48 minute game. The NBA is very much a start n stop game too. If you want non stop action in your sports, you will need to follow the NHL, eh.
Anyone have a quarterback roulette wheel?
We have Keenum in a walking boot not practicing.
We have Smith hanging out in the owners box on game day.
We have McCoy who hasn’t had a practice rep in over a month.
We have Haskins the coach is determined to never play.
The obvious choice here is to make all 4 inactive and just direct snap to Chris Thompson since the coach doesn’t want AP on the field either.
I forgot QB Josh Woodrum but apparently he doesn’t get invited to the owners box while on IR.
You guys need to start Haskins, asap. Haskins and McLaurin, I believe, played together in college last year. Im interested to see if they can build on that. Unfortunately the Oline is going to be a terror for which ever QB is in for Washington.
But at NBA games during the timeouts and whistles reviews… they come out and shoot t-shirts at the crowd with a t-shirt gun… it’s a total distraction…
Finally, Gruden’s gone.
So many questions.
Is Callahan going to start Haskins?
Is he going to run the ball more like he said?
Is the OC actually going to get to call plays or is it only going to be on 3rd down after the run gets stopped twice or penalized back to 3rd and 15?
Why didn’t they fire the DC at the same time as Gruden?
With the Cowboys losing the playoffs still don’t look out of reach with only 3 games to make up over 11 to be played.
Hope Lives!!!
Hey @drew724, now that was game. Funny the guy we got from is the one who stops them on 4th and 2. Totally worth it. And how can you get offensive pass interference with out touching anybody?
Pick play. If the offensive player interferes with the defenders path, while said defender is covering another offensive player, then that is offensive pass interference without touching anyone. Pick plays have been illegal on the NFL for several years now.
PS. Thank you for beating the Chefs. My RAIDERS are only 1 game out of 1st place in the AFCW.
Gruden was not the problem in Washington. Snyder is, and always has been. Callahan will not help your team. He was a useless HC when he coached the RAIDERS 17 years ago.
Amen to that… Snyder has been the problem since he bought the team in 1999. Some great coaches have come and gone during his tenure, it’s not the coaches.
Pick play only comes into effect past 1 yard of line of scrimage. I dont think he passed the yard. Either way a w is a w.
Agreed. I thought it was a BS call too. I think I missed the sarcasm that was implied in your OP.
49ers keep rolling!
Reports coming out now about Gruden letting people be 15-20 minutes late for meetings and using phones during practices and being to easy going. They haven’t had a practice in pads in over a month whereas most teams get at least one a week in. You need a strong hand at the helm. Gruden is well liked and may be an Offensive HC candidate but he’s not Head Coach material. For that you need someone strong and willing to enforce the rules and discipline. Do you think anyone would show up late for a Patriots meeting?
If Calahan has the authority to lay down the law you might see change rapidly. It has to start somewhere. The rookie needs 1st team reps even if he isn’t the starter. Look at last year. They signed HAHA and immediately took two Pro Bowl level players out of their game by letting them run around making nicknames for what they were going to call themselves. They had a ball right up thru the end of the year while not delivering what they were capable of leading to both being gone this year. Swearenger couldn’t even stay on the team this year that picked him up past 4 games. I’m sure he had fun though.
The 49ers are the last undefeated team in the league! Wish Keon Alexander didn’t get injured, because his pass coverage at the linebacker position was excellent & his intensity will truly be missed. Any-who, next Monday will definitely be a test when Seattle rolls into town.
Check out OBJs Joker cleats that he wore yesterday. Awesome blossom, imo.
Those have to be the ugliest things I’ve ever seen on someone’s feet in my entire life…
…and it appears as if that ugliness has translated itself to OBJs, and his teams, performance on the field this season.

Lol! The Browns are terrible! They need to fire the head coach immediately after the season is over. I do believe they have talent, just not the right coaching staff.
Those are the new “Clowntonio Brown” Variants!
