You said we the additional print buyers, not set collectors.
Guys going in buying one cover aren’t set collectors.
We are talking about different groups of people. No worries though, on the same page. Cheers.

Yeah, no one from my LCS cares about additional printings unless they missed the 1st print.
Copy I was just thinking the set of As.
Releasing the art on FOC. But I think we mostly expected this cover.
Gotta admit, that’s a cool cover.
Yeah… That is awesome. Really awesome.
Yeah that is why beleive most shops Dont go heavy on these covers like we think because the art is released so late. My shop started taking orders on these 2nd n 3rd prints and he said hes only ordering 5 issues over what’s preordered.
@dPcomics @Mudable I agree. I ordered 3 before I seen the cover. Debating on a couple more because I actually like it.
Fake News, shops do go Heavy on late printings as of late, do your homework son, don’t just “guess”
I’m guessing. Guessing makes it fun.
The definitions of speculation & guessing are quite similar.
I contacted a local comic shop today. He said he wasn’t ordering because he had so many of the 2nd prints he got to get the ratio variant for people. Not homework but real life case study.
Not sure why you are so hostile.
You started out on the main site asking everyone their opinions on hot books. Then you come over to the forum and start talking down to everyone. Very odd behavior.
My local shop doesn’t order additional prints if they still have first prints (or prior prints) available… so I agree, not all shops go heavy on additional printings.
Why so mad?
Stop with that speaking for all shops. My 3 LCS only 1 orders heavy or even moderate for late printings. The other 2 only order what’s preordered by customers.
@agentpoyo @Anthony thank you. Idk why anyone takes US this small community of somewhat knowledgeable collectors and assume shops and walk in customers are on the same page as us.
Let’s not forget this site just got a million page views. It’s not just “us” anymore.
On that note, I would like everyone to chew on what we should and shouldn’t share on the public forum.
There’s a fine line between being helpful to the community and doing their work for them.
With a million page views what we share has a large impact on what and how much people order.
Share what you’re comfortable in sharing. If you want to limit the audience at first with your spec, thoughts, potential information, do it in our Lounge for trust members 2 or higher (so it’s not as easily publicly accessible).
But that’s the whole reason we have CHU, information. Anthony never had to start a website to share his knowledge on flipping and spec’ing back in 2013 and the site has evolved since that time with the same principle of sharing knowledge.
Basically, nothing we say here one can’t find on the internet or your local shop or within the pages of comics themselves. There is no big secret to comic book speculation. It’s all based on “possibilities” for the most part.
Basically, CHU is a type of place to come to try and get most of the info you need on comics. It’s like calling the stereo guys to come fix your stereo, they read the manual so you don’t have to.
I for one welcome more contributors if they’re nice. Most folk here are pretty pleasant and I love these forums where we all chat. If folk also just want to check the forum for knowledge, more power to them. I always am happy to share my wisdom, but I do have certain things I keep close to the chest for my dealings, as do we all.
