At this point, when a marvel cover pops, sell immediately. It’s guaranteed they will kill its value with any and every opportunity to make money.
These reprints cannot be making them much money. You would think they are actually pushing fans (and money) away by focusing on such petty things. I highly doubt reprints bring in new readers….there was a time when reprints were driven by actual reader demand…

Marvel has cancelled 2nd (later) printings in the past due to not enough orders. What would be your best guess as to the minimum number of orders they need to make a 2nd print? Do you think it’s 3,000 like an exclusive or lower than that?

I’d like to say 3000. When Comichron was posting numbers and 1st printings sold out before announcing a second print, you could get a pretty close idea
Of how many copies of the 2nd print were ordered (not necessarily printed).

If only 100 people ordered 2nd prints and that’s all you printed…that’s technically an instant sell out.

Ahrrggmmmm… correction, if only 100 retailers ordered copies, that’s an instant sell out… we the consumers don’t have to order anything. The retailers can have this product sit on their shelves for eternity and the publisher can still claim X sold…
I’m on the press list for Image and Skybound and will say Skybound’s PR stuff tends to be a bit more loose and funny compared to how Image is pretty formal. I think it was intentional.
I’m so curious if anyone is buying these 2nd/3rd prints for Battle Beasts. The novelty was the blind bag. Do people really care about the issue? I read it. It seemed fine, but I don’t know the Invincible Universe very well.

There is going to come a time where sets of these Sonic DC character covers are going to be a very, very good investment.
While I have been avoiding later printings more than ever lately, I also like that Jeff cover as well as the Godzilla/Avengers (the first one listed above). Uggg…they always pull me back in.
