I believe I sold 1 set 1-5 for $50 some time ago and 2 sets of the other printings of #1 for $35.

I would have to think announcing a 3rd print hurts 2nd print sales.

They will see backorders for the 2nd print and decide to go ahead with a 3rd print due to demand. Nothing shady here.

if the book is not that good you have to put new printings before people can actually read em
I’m guessing this is simple math. If the 2nd print gets XXXX orders and the book then becomes profitable, they offer up a 3rd print. Eventually, the orders don’t hit the profitable threshold, and they stop. It’s nothing nefarious. If people keep buying a thing, why wouldn’t you keep making more?
