Damn, a third printing already? The We Live #1 2nd print is still available for order.
Still waiting on my first printing from TFAW, lol.
The pre-order went into ‘processing’ 14 days ago… the package is about 30 minutes away now but hasn’t moved in two days - DHL says it was tendered to the delivery service provider and USPS says that package is not yet with them. Yay.
Boo, I was hoping for different cover art. I dont mind purchasing additional printings when the cover art is different…
My first order with TFAW arrived 6 days after their estimated ship date. I thought, ok. Not bad. Last four shipments: 13, 15, 15, 15 days. Not great.
Good to know. It usually takes a week and then delivered one day after I get the ‘tendered to delivery service provider’ update in DHL… not this time.
Not to get too off topic here but I’m also supposed to have a shipment go out this week (been two weeks since my last one) but it has yet to start processing - hope it doesn’t roll over into the next week/shipment because that’s just going to be far too many books in one package. Yikes.
I chatted with Brendon and customer service about this. They had a delay this week. The system says nothing is happening, but it will still ship as it normally would. Maybe a little delayed.
There seems to be delays with USPS and such… with all the COVID surges, places and front line workers are taking extra precaution. I have a TFAW package that arrived super quick and then another that’s been siting in Houston for 3 days myself… just hang tight… people’s well being is way more important than comics…
Same here, I wont receive books released on 10/14 until tomorrow. The following Wednesday is cool with me, but 2+ weeks isn’t. That was 2nd weekly shipment in a row to ship that late. I will give them another few orders to see if it improves before seeking other avenues.
It sounds like TFAW’s order fulfillment team is down to 2 people at any given time due to social distancing requirements. So, “processing” really just means your order is waiting for someone to get to it. I can’t see that improving until they are allowed more workers at one time.
Yeah. This week Lunar was late in sending us the DC books. We didn’t get them until yesterday afternoon, normally we get them the Friday before or at the latest on Monday. They originally sent them to the wrong address…
That plus the covid restrictions with our county’s rules and the ongoing mail delays slowed things down a bit. We’re trying to re-adjust our warehouse or covnert some of our office space to extra warehouse space and bringing in more staff, but there’s only so many people we can have work within X feet of each other at any given time without violating labor laws.
Unfortunately what I expect will happen is as people start ordering more from one specific source because things are getting out quicker there, that source will become bogged down with more orders until it starts taking longer, then people will switch to a different source, then it will become bogged down, etc. until we’re through the pandemic and whomever has the bulk of those people left wins this weird version of eeny meeny miny moe. Even places like Amazon have regularly fallen behind their usual processing/delivery times and they have a decent number of robots working for them.
@RipCityGamer, you all just keep taking your time… safety before comics for the privileged nerds who sit around sweating on their shipments…
I spend 500, 600, 900 + a week with TFAW. If all these books were for my PC and not for flipping I wouldn’t care at all about the 2 week delay.
Sounds like you need to hit the local shops then… online ordering isn’t great for flipping books quickly… since you have to wait on them to be shipped.
Nearest shop is 3 hours away.
Sounds like you need to move then…
To be fair, they’re not wrong in that the delays have been bad the last few weeks. I’m upset, too, and I know more than most people pre-ordering on our site about what’s going on!
We are looking at finding ways to make things smoother again (and if anyone has a vaccine that would be a great start!) and it’s the most frequent thing we talk about internally right now.
Yeah, no one’s over here talking about Comics being more important than Covid safety measures, so enough of that nonsense.
Thanks for all of the feedback and info that you’ve shared here Brendon - much appreciated.
I know no one is specifically saying such things but I’m sure there’s some who probably think otherwise out there in the world. It’s a friendly reminder to lay off delays with shipments from online orders… it’s not just TFAW, it’s everyone involved that gets a package from point A to point B…
They’re going to allocate 2nd printing to force FOMO and insanity for both 2nd & 3rd printings.
