Everyone see the 3rd print of Thor 5 is a $30 book? At least that’s what the cheapest copy on eBay is at the moment (trade dress).
I think golden crabapple has them for $12 still.
Might keep an eye on that. There are so many Black Winter covers similar to the 3rd print I wonder if people don’t know what they’re buying. I keep having to stare at them in order to tell the difference between it and the issue 6 shop variants.
Who knows. I know hype can catch on quick and there are multiple sales above $30. I did start a separate thread and thanked you for it.

Where are you getting your information? There are so many countries with available data that fly in the face of what you just said.
Shut down worked superbly in my country. They worked suberbly in Italy. They worked suberbly in New Zealand. The virus can be contained if the population listens and follows the advice of medical/viral professionals only.
There is a big difference between letting the virus run rampid through your country (USA w/ 5+ million cases) and having your country take measures to mitigate the spread (Canada w/ 123,000 cases). The USAs population is approx 8x larger than that of Canada. Yet the USA has 40x as many covid cases. New Zealand went 102 days with zero new cases. They had some immediate strict lockdowns. Yes, they did have a ‘flare up’ recently, but from my understanding, they only had 9 new cases on Monday. The USA had 42,000.

There are lots of books every week with smaller print runs than what is claimed by any given store variant retailer. And those more miniscule print runs never see the light of day on the secondary market. There is a lot more to this than simply ‘scarcity’. The big detractor for store variants is the fact that they are technically ‘gimmicks’. There are whole sects of the hobby who don’t even consider them to be worth anything.
And those retailers seem to gouging as much as possible, according to the people currently discussing that Vader IDW variant.e
Those books that have lower print runs are lower print for a reason. Nobody wants them.
These limited variants of mainstream titles are a totally different animal.
