It’s Black Mask Comics… they’re dead to me no matter their print runs…
Black Mask has been dead for years. Print run size cant sell their books. Hell, I have a few of the Destiny NY #1 1:100 variants and they definitely arent attracting any buyers…
I had a guy commission me to get signed copies of NYCC Variants from black mask signed for him about 8 years ago. Well, he abandoned them and I still have them in their CBCS delivery boxes at my house, worthless.
The last Black Mask book I sold was I think Young Terrorists ratio variant that at one time was selling for like $40 during it’s peak… I found an extra copy and listed it, I think it sold for literally a penny. Yes, a penny. I did a penny auction and it sold for a penny. Black Mask is worthless and even if you feel the need to pick up a book to read, just don’t even bother reading it cause it will likely never get finished or even a second issue…
I bought these back in 2019. I doubt they are worth anything now: Limited Editions only available til 12/2/19 – Black Mask Studios
Damn, visiting their site immediately gives me a pop-up that says “Free Shipping on all order $10 and up”… they must be desperate.
I can remember be letting into NYCC early and getting the NYCC variants of “We Can Never Go Home” by Rosenberg. They were all white covers with a different object on the cover from what I remember. Limited to 25 copies each. They were the target of many a speculator at that time.
I don’t know what they’re worth now but I turned them over within a day of show close for big $$$$. That’s one sale I won’t look back on with regret.
Is TFAW going to add this Nightwing #81 2nd print? I don’t see it. Midtown has it. Probably will get it there.
I grabbed the We Can Never Go Home Set as well. If I remember correctly I ended up with 2 or 3. I think he needed to mail out the last issue. I sold all the sets but remember in the last set holding out for more money and prices were dropping steadily. I ended up taking less for it than I had turned down when I first listed it.
Yeaaa… the mail out last issue. I remember that now.
I know that title has had several hints of media around it and still does.
And I noticed a seller “asking” for a few grand for the slabbed series but that may sit there forever and beyond.
It’s hard to say what that set would truly sell for now, but of all my regrets of sales (I know were’ not supposed to regret), that is one I certainly don’t regret.
Cute cover
Would this be the first cover appearance of the dog? Or is it gonna be 82?
I hope this series heats up
#82 comes out a week before this.
TFAW went offline earlier this week as it concerns their shareasale affiliate account. They had a “low funds” notice before that. I imagine they pretty routinely go offline when they need to replenish their shareasale funds.
It’s strange to me that shareasale shares that notice about TFAW with it’s affiliate publishers.
So, here’s how it works with affiliate programs going through shareasale. They require merchants to have X amount of funds in their accounts to cover commissions. What happened likely is when they reached a certain threshold (the amount they owe currently to commission payouts), their auto payment failed to replenish funds to meet shareasales requirements probably based on what they owe based on future commissions earned. So to prevent the merchant going into the negative status of funds, they turn the merchant off which means, the links will no longer redirect to track to prevent future commission clicks to buys until the funds are made available.
This is why they share this information with those with affiliate accounts @drunkwooky as it’s a sort of status to know what the heck is going on.
