Iām sticking to cover price beefcake. I like paying $6 and turning it in to $30-$50 or more.
Not a big fan of gambling $30 without a guaranteed return of double. Also not a fan of foil and trade dress variants for the same exclusive. Waters it down a bit.
I havenāt seen the full reveal but this one leaves a little less to the imagination, probably can fill in the blanks from thereā¦
I donāt knowā¦ thereās a lot of ānerdsā in this hobby who have only seen them naked on these types of coversā¦

Follicco did the Superman 34 variant which still sells well.
I think this one might appeal to that demographic, but not sure it will appeal to the beefcake crowd as much.
It may get under looked though.
Foccillo had a hit with that Superman cover and has leaned in hard on the anime/Dragonball thing. I agree with D-Rog, there may be people that look for it, but for different reasons than the beefcake enjoyers.
I donāt think the beef cake crowd wants Dragon Ball Beefcake. I think they specifically want Mora beef cake. Realistically well drawn beef cake.

People are buying beefcake books and to not shame them. People are buying what they like. Just goes to show we been selling beefcake for a while and the streamers are catching on.

For the balance of the show, that retailer sounds pretty observant and level-headed, so Iām hoping he didnāt mean āmost males tend to think more rationallyā as badly as it comes off. If he does believe that, so be it.
I would just invite him to spend time reading any of the Absolute Batman social media groups, because the balance of those (male) collectors are wildly emotional and often irrational. And really comic readership in general is not known for gracefully accepting big changes to characters they like.
