Yeah, that was not the best way to articulate what he really meant to sayā¦I believe he was trying to say from his experience is that men are less spontaneous or impulsive when purchasing books.
And that isnāt necessarily a male thingā¦I think itās more that seasoned/experienced collectors of comics (which has been male dominated) have been trained/influenced over time to think of books as āinvestmentsā to some extent. While new collectors (which is more male/female balanced) are more about being in just the moment and the experience buying the book just because they want it.
The new blood coming in, regardless of gender, just has a different approach to buying and collecting.
