Beefcake Heating Up

I don’t mean to dox anyone (but really I’m not as it’s a user name)…but you have to admit the user name is awesome given the book purchased.

I look forward to selling more Superman Beefcake covers to SupesWife in the future…

She needs a little something to pass the time while her man is off saving the universe….

Although I won’t reveal her true name…it also aligns well with what was purchased.

God bless them for the chuckles I got.

This guy doesn’t understand the audience for beefcake don’t want a 9.8 slab…glutton for punishment.

But he does have a hit once in a while…

Shoot for $18 in a 9.8 buy them crack them out and make a profit.

Buy them for :99 cents and crack them out. Sell them raw.

People need to understand to let things breathe (and not just his chest on the cover).

Yes, new release hot comics will sell, however, this was released when a lot of people already knew about the beefcake effect. That’s why it’s the older beefcake editions that are still selling so well.

Put this one away and forget about it for 6mo+ and if the people are still out there buying beefcake, this will sell much better than $27 + s/h for a 9.8

Also stop slabbing so much crap. Raw books are easier to sell. Unless something gets a big premium just stop it

Even the more expensive beefcake don’t get much of a premium in slabs.

I’ve found that the clientele tends to just want the book…as long as it’s not wrecked. They are not too finicky about VF, NM, Mint stuff.

That’s the best kind of buyers.

I think that a lot of them are readers as well not just collectors. My local comic shop always says that nightwing books are some of their best sellers.

I sold so many of these in the $15/$20 range not that long ago…

Still hasn’t figured it out…

Been holding onto my lone copy as it was not selling for $10 a month ago.

Time to list, perhaps.

Batman get the same beefcake love as Nightwing?

Batman #11 - Chris Anka

I think this shows DC is aware of how popular World’s Finest #35 got, but no Superman and a highly ordered title. If this heats up, I think it’s going to take a few years.
