Go go Sour Ranger!!!

Proper Brewing Company Sour Ale with Strawberry and Hibiscus.

Not overly sweet. Smooth and light. 3/5 life day orbs from DrunkWooky.

I love Sour’s!!! My favorite had to be the very odd Evil Twin Justin Blabaer or the Crooked Hammock (no relation) that tasted like Fruity Pebbles (damn I cannot think of the name)

I also am into the sours.

Been drinking grape fruit beers for several summers which got my accustomed to sours. Now I’m hooked.

I’ve always been into Belgian whites and so this fits down in that little corner of the flavor profile.

I’ve also been really into Gose the past few years. Dogfish Head has an awesome one. Proper has two: Lake Effect and Lei Effect (just Lake Effect with Passionfruit and Guava).

Ive only had 1 beer so far this year. I stopped drinking back in January and man have I lost weight lol. I loved drinking my IPA’s specially while working on my car on a hot day. I miss it sometimes. I had to cut back on carbs and that ones the main one.

2 of my favorite beers where Belgium Beaver and Latitude 33. Try them if you haven’t already…

Nice! I’ll have to post some of my weekly beers and occasional travels and escapades.

It has become a bit of a tradition on family vacations for me to pop into a brewery after my wife and kids pass out while driving around exploring the town we are vacationing. I’ll leave the AC running and duck inside to escape the kids and in-laws.

Some people vacation to see the beach and scenery. My buddy and I try to get away each year and visit different breweries and townie bars. No better way to get the flavor of place than to drink with the locals at some hole in the wall.

My poison tends to be IPAs - both super dank and hazy (i don’t discriminate), and there is nothing better than a delicious saison on a hot summer day.

I don’t really like beer but love a hard cider.

We’ve got a really nice cider outfit here in Utah called Hive. They’ve got ciders in all sorts of varieties because they are a fruit winery as well. Raspberry apple cider, strawberry apple cider, you get the point.

I’ve been off IPAs for a few years. It might be the time I spent in the PNW. Too much of a good thing that put me off.

I have them off an on now, but I have so few beers in the week I gravitate towards something lighter and (to my preference) refreshing.

My brother quit his 9-5 years ago and got in at the ground floor at a cidery back in NY and they are branching out their distribution across the country. Check out Graft cider if you find any of their stuff. It’s good.

They also do some cool collaborations with different breweries around the country.

I e encountered peach beer and enjoyed it especially I’m these summer months. Are these sour drinks similar?

Sour beer is beer which has an intentionally acidic, tart, or sour taste. Traditional sour beer styles include Belgian lambics, gueuze and Flanders red ale, and German gose and Berliner Weisse. Wikipedia

So, if you’ve ever drank a Beligan beer, it’s likely you’ve tasted a sour. They aren’t all beers with fruit elements, but the acidity just happens to pair well with bright fruit flavors. So, you see belgian whites and goses paired with lime, peach, orange, grapefruit, etc.
