That’s pretty good for a first attempt. Took me a few submissions I think before I figured out what a real 9.8 looked like and that pressing is almost a must for older books.
So if I just want to get a comic art label from cgc and I send in my already graded cgc book is it just a recase fee?
Wow. Congrats.
the spiderman #1 and FF #1 are reprints.
Enlarged/embiggened the photos (lol) and saw that. Still, those are awesome.
I am very disappointed in the Fantastic Four #1. Its a perfect book but got dropped to a 8.5 due to tanning on the cover. Its my fault because I did not have a full back acid free board and I when I finally took it out the book had tanning.
Finally after getting these pressed and cleaned and sent in late October-Early November my books got back to me
A lot of nice books there. Do users have different privileges? I can only post two pics per post.
If you use image hosting you can post a bunch.
After you post two and they upload you can add to more and so on in the same post
Please don’t. Just do it in a new comment.
Since we are in a High Republic kind of mood, I thought I’d show these off. Just delivered today, literally. I sent in 25 books in September. Did the pre-screen at 9.8. I was 22/25, not too bad. There are others but I thought I’d show off our favorite hot books. I forgot I sent in the 4th print of HR1. Can’t remember why I sent in HR8 (I’m exhausted from work today… it’ll come to me).
And PS… after a second internal message sent to CGC through their system, I still have not heard back about recasing my Last Ronin with the debris encased in it. Good grief. I just don’t have time to call on the phone but it looks like that is the next step.
This seems worth a shot for people who don’t want to send their scuffed slabs back in for reholder and a months long wait:
It hasn’t been scuffs on the outside that caused me to seen them back. It was scuffs on the inside and on the interior sleeve. To the point where it distracted from the aesthetics of the comic or made it look like the comic was damaged, not the holder.
It probably did just based on the logic that you would probably want your preview in the comic shop before the actual comic release date. I can’t find anything to nail down dates with any more specificity than that, though.
Here you go heir to the empire 1 was October 3, 1995:
I’d be interested to know what other Heir to the Empire content it has in it.
The SDCC #4 was released in July of that year with an Heir to the Empire preview but absolutely no Thrawn content in the book:
Thanks for the information. It looks like the preview came out on 9/14, so it was a couple weeks before Heir to the Empire. Perhaps someone has a raw copy of DHI46 and can check the content?
