We are in such a D-Gen age of collectibles. Iāve been struggling to understand this behavior until I finally realized the younger generation just doesnāt give a F%#% if itās a good deal or not. They just want the comic, or card, or whatever, and they want it now. Weāve become a society of Veruca Salts.
And if your at the top go the page (first thing they see) youāre more likely to get the sale than the next listing below.
@anthony has so many sales because heās willing to take small profits to get numbersā¦it puts him at the top per how the algorithm works. And thus he is able to sell this book for $20 more than the copy offered directly below his listing when searched.
Amazing. The world we live in.
FYI - not a knock on Anthony. More power to him if heās figured the system out.

I make a lot of smaller sales that I still profit from. Mostly because I source things cheap. To be fair to me most of the listed copies were at that price when I listed. Also, already shipped the book.

Wish I had my copies on handā¦although my gut says there could be a bank run on this and not enough copies to go around. And price heading upwards more.

Does anyone remember what went down when the original cover was released?
I was not aware of the spec game back thenā¦and just had it on my pull so oblivious to any FOMO. Was the book hot out of the gate like this?

I got one at my local Comicshop. My other local Comicshop has zero in. I sold one. Iām holding the other. I wanna see where this goes.

No one (except Jimās Comics) even talked about this. I mentioned it in my FOC articleā¦but even then I said it might be short ordered. Lego covers havenāt been a hit in the past, and no cover reveal.
It became obvious we underestimated it when the set was announcedā¦after FOCā¦and copies disappeared.
My shops didnāt order any either.
I just have to hope online shops donāt screw me over at this point. I did grab a copy from MCS pre FOC so should be ok thereā¦
The one I got in Virginia sold and has been mailed. The other copy is staying with me. If this has legs I want to let it run a bit.
