Here is something I have been wondering, Diamond, to my understanding, was the one that enforced the street date, essentially making Wednesday a holy day for comic fans. With Diamond no longer selling comics, will the street date (date in which a store can sell a comic) still be enforced and if so, by whom? I know two weeks ago I was able to get all new comics on a Tuesday because of the Batman Hush 2 book coming out, they let people buy whatever from that week.
Great point. I wonder if Penguin Random House and/or Lunar will make any moves. Wednesday always seemed like an odd choice – anyone know the reason?
people already have fcbd books, whats stopping them from giving/selling them now
I picked up the All New Venom secret variant on Tuesday…all books were out, no one said anything to me.
Music has street dates too, if it hasn’t changed, new music was always released on Tuesdays (physical media that is), at least when we were buying tapes and CDs.
