When done poorly, it as if it was never done or it simply defames the villains greatness (See reference Batman Forever, & Batman & Robin (Goofy Riddler, Bat nips, Silly Bane, the list goes on.)
If you think back, what version of Bane will people remember. The Bane who was hooked up on steroid that look like a zombify macho man (Batman & Robin) or the Bane from DK Rises.
Through years of incompetence/mismanagement, maybe for once, DC can wise up. However the evidence through their current publish seems to suggest otherwise.
Another spec for the next 2 years, maybe Batman Beyond. May have legs should they decide to bring him to future state, after all he is from future. Just a guess.
I sold my Batman New 52 #2 for decent profit a long time ago… the sweet part about it was, I found it in a Half Price dollar bin along with #3, #4 and #5, sold them as a lot… best $4 turn $125 or so ever!
“To help ensure comic shops can meet the demand for the highly anticipated upcoming series Flashpoint Beyond, DC is offering a free approximately 50% overship of copies of Flashpoint Beyond #0 by Geoff Johns and Eduardo Risso, across the main cover, open-to-order variant cover, and 1:25 incentive cover.”
"To make it easy for fans to dive in with Aquamen, DC announces a free overship of Aquamen #2, which will arrive at roughly 30% of your store’s combined orders of Aquamen #1 Covers A and B. The Aquamen #2 overship will arrive with a black-and-white version of Jim Lee’s Aquamen #1 variant cover (seen below). "
BTW, absolutely GREAT book. Story and art feel like a natural progression from the previous series. There’s a tease for a future Red Hook book and Murphy’s use of shadows to tell another layer of story was fantastic.
The last 2 page build-up to the final reveal couldn’t have been better. You already know what’s coming and still can’t stop getting excited.
