DC Heating UP

When done poorly, it as if it was never done or it simply defames the villains greatness (See reference Batman Forever, & Batman & Robin (Goofy Riddler, Bat nips, Silly Bane, the list goes on.)

If you think back, what version of Bane will people remember. The Bane who was hooked up on steroid that look like a zombify macho man (Batman & Robin) or the Bane from DK Rises.

Through years of incompetence/mismanagement, maybe for once, DC can wise up. However the evidence through their current publish seems to suggest otherwise.

Another spec for the next 2 years, maybe Batman Beyond. May have legs should they decide to bring him to future state, after all he is from future. Just a guess.

I sold my Batman New 52 #2 for decent profit a long time ago… the sweet part about it was, I found it in a Half Price dollar bin along with #3, #4 and #5, sold them as a lot… best $4 turn $125 or so ever!

Some tidbits from the recent DC retailer email:

“To help ensure comic shops can meet the demand for the highly anticipated upcoming series Flashpoint Beyond, DC is offering a free approximately 50% overship of copies of Flashpoint Beyond #0 by Geoff Johns and Eduardo Risso, across the main cover, open-to-order variant cover, and 1:25 incentive cover.
:astonished:

"To make it easy for fans to dive in with Aquamen, DC announces a free overship of Aquamen #2, which will arrive at roughly 30% of your store’s combined orders of Aquamen #1 Covers A and B. The Aquamen #2 overship will arrive with a black-and-white version of Jim Lee’s Aquamen #1 variant cover (seen below). "

If its not Disney, its craaaaaap!

I understand this, which is why it’s funny when everyone rushes to get whatever the next Indy headed to Netflix .

Oh my… that House of Gotham backup story. Batman just couldn’t do anything right. What a story and ending. Rosenberg killed it.

Is this some tangential universe? After King was taken off the main title, I stopped reading his bat books.

WHY ???

This will not stick ! Batman is becoming a soap.

Because it meshes with the current cinematic landscape and current social media hastag trends.

This is Black Label, not main DCU

I wasn’t expecting that this book will be worth anything at this time of the year.

It’s DC, so it’s just a glorified cookie sheet.

Just wanted to bump this and let you all know that Shadow War Alpha was a fantastic read!

Angel Breaker is a first full appearance, no idea if she’ll have legs or not, but no doubt about the quality of her appearance.

Rogues was great too. Joshua Williamson is doing a great job on his titles and I am looking forward to Dark Crisis.

Can confirm East Coast printing shortages of Batman Beyond the White Knight cover As. Two stores received no copies and a third store received 5.

eBay sales already at $20.

BTW, absolutely GREAT book. Story and art feel like a natural progression from the previous series. There’s a tease for a future Red Hook book and Murphy’s use of shadows to tell another layer of story was fantastic.

The last 2 page build-up to the final reveal couldn’t have been better. You already know what’s coming and still can’t stop getting excited.
