I listed a single lot of 5 packs on eBay for what I thought is a fair price ($65 shipped)…and they just sit there.
That’s $13/pack, shipped.
What not buyers paying $18+ per booster are dumb.

Very fair price at this point (for the boosters) and I’m surprised it hasn’t sold. Sold listings for far higher. Some folks struggle at math apparently lol.
Some folks prefer the wrapped boosters (like Target has) versus the other ones as some claim you can weigh boosters to find enchanted cards as they supposedly weigh more. I say bull*#$& but it’s a thing.
@Bill
I really really don’t want people to think I’m the “hype the product” person. I would take an oath that I have very little product. As I’ve stated, I’m fascinated by the logistics and economics of it all.
Having said that
IMO the “Trove” is the best of the items to have. $70 was a fair price.
Are they cheaper if you can find em at retail? Of course…but that isn’t an easy thing to do currently.
I have a very sensitive scale I use for small things like coins…I’ll have to try that out…see if any packs are outliers.
I was waiting to see if people figured out the weight trick. Guys used to bring pocket scales to Target and weigh the baseball card packs before they bought them. This was pre COVID days. It’s a known thing that special cards will cause a weight difference in the baseball card world.
You turn the aisle at target and you see someone just standing in the aisle carefully balancing a scale. Be awkward.
Ha ha. Not that kind of scale. It’s a small digital one. I have one that I use to weight vintage Star Wars Power of the Force coins to check for fakes.
Post was 16 minutes ago, the results?
I assume the enchanted cards are the ones with numbers above 204?
If so, no such luck.
I’m staying far away from this. I remember a lot of heat way back when Star Wars and Star Trek came out with their card games in the mid 1990’s. Huge premiums only to cool off not too long after. Will this be the same? Who knows. I’m just going to stick to what I know. I’ve done pretty well with comics.
Figured what the heck…I can open up some of these and enjoy the game!
Bingo!!! Honestly didn’t expect to pull an enchanted!
Did the October second shipments ever happen? Does anybody still care about Lorcana?
not yet
@beachboy The October shipments never happened that I’m aware of. At least not at any retailers and also not even at the gaming stores (even those who were selected/part of the league play system).
Still seems to be doing well and there are multiple ongoing nationwide tournaments and such. The once a week league in my area is doing “ok” and has regular attendance. Because it is a smaller area I’ve done well with getting ahold of the various promo cards and pins.
It’s certainly running a razors edge though as they need to get product out…people will give up and move to something else. I honestly don’t see the next expansion/wave, having much more product than the first go round and that will also be yet another issue. I have at least one booster box and a trove reserved at my gaming store and I’m 99% sure I’ll receive that when it comes in. They tend to make sure the folks playing/supporting the store/showing up for events are taken care of first.
It really is a very fun game. My only issue is that with the current limited availability, some specific decks have essentially become a staple. If you are just a casual player for fun, that doesn’t matter, but it’s sort of boring to engage in any sort of tournament play and just see very deck being the same cookie cutter build.
Value of some of the key cards has held up very well. Rapunzel remains a $50 card with a decent amount of others still fetching between $15-30 “ish”
That’s my current scouting report.
Rise of the Floodborn comes out December 1st
game is dead, people cant get cards so no one is playing. and the order numbers i see listed on reddit floodborn wont be any better
League play is still strong around here.
One interesting note, folks have been fighting back & forth about the subsequent waves of Chapter One being deemed a first, second edition etc.
While there isn’t a specific distinction between them they ARE fixing some of the text, errata on some of the cards. They have also changed the outer packaging on booster boxes.
So, for folks who care about that stuff…there will be cards that are different and a means of separating printings.
Floodborn has some killer cards (we’ve seen just over half of the set this far). The thing is, there are Disney collectors who can care less about the actual game…they just want the cards.
Snow White and all the Dwarfs are in this upcoming set. They will be extremely popular.
I’ll report out with my gaming shops/league. They should be getting product on 11/17.
Lots of product (wave of first chapter resupply) hitting shops in what appears to be decent amounts. I’m seeing posts of boxes for sale with fair prices. Next week the wave of Floodborne will hit gaming shops as well.
I’ll priortize Floodborne at this point. Some fun cards and I have pretty much what I need from the Chapter one set.
Saw a bunch go up for order yesterday from Hot Topic
While I can only speak to my area, I do follow the game enough in various groups that I think I can generalize.
Massive amount of product hit last Thursday & Friday. The resupply also flowed into shops that previously missed out because they weren’t approved for league play/participation in the first go round.
That was all supply of “the first chapter”. This week (Friday), the shipments of Rise of the Floodborn will hit as well.
I grabbed one more box at $180 which was fair imo. That will be all I’ll need/buy of chapter one. I have the set and more than enough copies of trade bait.
I don’t know of any gaming shops that didn’t receive any. Any that I visited or saw posts from had limits in place which was nice as it put product in more folks hands.
Definitely seeing increased interest now that cards are available. We had two more couples at league night. A couple of areas tournaments were packed.
Should be fun seeing new decks with the expansion.
