The first time I saw his artwork was in Batman: Black & White #1 and lemme tell ya with out colors to separate things it can be tricky.
SSB is a lot easier to navigate.
SSB is a modern classic that will be mentioned in the same breath as the Moebius Silver Surfer mini. The prices of the original art from SSB is definitely headed in that direction, if not already close.

Well, it is a reflection of the views of his fans (of which I am one) as reflected in the prices of the original art.
Moebius is a different category altogether as both an artist, writer, and all around innovator and storyteller. Moore may get there someday, but Moebius’ work is quite literally a world apart.

I saw a 9.8 Venom 3 go for 350 yesterday lol. This is what happens when you kill the big baddie and rip the kiddo of his abilities. I tried to tell ya’ll. good news is if you dont have these books or want a couple more, keep waiting a couple more months as they will become even MORE affordable than they are now.
I think I will sit on my copies just fine. It may be a longer haul, but that value is going to return. People can jump ship if they want!

Cates and Ottley teaming up on HULK!!! This DC guy is pretty excited, as I’ve never read a Hulk series before. I mostly pull Cates titles from Marvel, so this will go in the list.
prays that Donny doesn’t pull a KIB 5 with this series

It will be just a bunch of smashing. Easy lazy writing so it will work good for him. Ewing made Hulk interesting again. Cates won’t have the same success.

So they’re going from one of the best hulk runs to an incompetent boob whose only talent is creating a buzz about new characters on social media. Count me out and I’ll be dropping Hulk when he starts.

I expect Cates to draw a lot from Hulk’s past. Expect to see some very obscure characters heat up at some point.

Wouldnt be surprised if Cates introduces Bruce Banner’s “long-lost” son or brother.
Cates seems to have a thing for father-son relationships.

I’ve been toying around with the idea of grabbing an Immortal Hulk Omnibus if/when one comes out as I only hear good things about it. This new book kinda stokes that fire even more.
