eBay good experiences

I figured we had a topic for bad eBay issues, why not share some good experiences?

I sell various things on eBay not just comic books. I sold a vintage Playart diecast truck and when I got this long message late last night from the buyer I groaned and decided to wait until the morning to read it thinking it was bad. In the end it brought back memories and gave me a smile to start the day.

“I believe it was 1972. I was 5 or 6 years old. My older brother was 16 and decided to have a hotwheel race with a trophy for the winner. The trophy was a 6” long chrome horse with a broken leg that he had LOL. Of course my brother divided up MY Hotwheels and took my fastest one for himself, a chrome King Kuda hotwheel. I ended up with the Playart gas truck and some other slow car… The race was the next day and it was recorded on cassette tape. To me it was like being on Wide Wide World of Sports!! As the race went my two older brothers and I took turns racing against each other. However Don the middle brother slowed his cars down because he used 3 in one oil. But I was getting beat too and in the recording my older brother Al was saying that there is an upset racer he seems to have a blown motor. LOL. As I was crying and said I’m loosing the race! Then during the finals the gas tank popped off the Playart truck and somehow made it faster. I ended up winning! And then Al interviewed me and I was so excited I could hardly talk… To bad that tape doesn’t exist anymore…"

Mailed someone a, “Fallout: New Vegas,” strategy guide once. I had acquired the hardcover special edition and the special edition of the game that came with a comic, poker chips, and other knick-knacks. They messaged me the book arrived damaged, but I had packed well and it was USPS’ fault. They had already left positive feedback and just wanted to let me know they appreciated it wasn’t damaged even MORE due to the abuse the box took. They said they and their kids were excited to have the book as they booted the game up on their old console to play together. The fact they didn’t ask for anything and seemed genuinely pleased to just have the book managed to overcome how bitter a jerk I am. I offered to send them a free package with some of the little knick-knacks I didn’t need and they were overjoyed at the offer.
