eBay Headaches

I’m sure it’s crazy and they STILL don’t offer a way for international buyers to combine purchases and leave it up to us to figure it out.

I stopped selling international in 2025.

I just sold something and ebay says that my funds will be on hold until March 31. What is this? I just sold some stuff about 2 months ago and did not have this problem. Has this ever happened to anyone else here?

I had this when first starting my account, brand new until you had a certain amount of sales or dollar amount if I remember right. Then it happened again when I had someone claim they received a damaged item and there was a dispute resolution opened. During the dispute process my funds were held again. eBay hates sellers.

Yes. Been selling for 20 years on eBay and this has happened to me a couple times. Usually has to do with a buyer complaint/return I believe.

Got an offer for Nightwing 42B and Batman 145 Putri from someone in China like some of you mentioned. Has 13 positive feedbacks and looks kinda legit. Only 66% offer of the asking price so I think I’m going to pass because I’m getting a lot of views and watchers for it. I’m usually fine with international buyers and haven’t got scammed yet and I did picked this up for cover price but will pass on this.

The man is persistant, ain’t giving up.

The man says he wants me to send it to his friend who lives in the US and she’ll bring it over to Shanghai for him. I told him I only ship to an address that’s listed on the ebay account. No exceptions.

If they want to change their eBay mailing address I am good with that, but this sounds sketchy af

I only use eBay GSP for international shipping now. I know the cost to the buyer is quite a bit more, but it eliminates most of the headaches from a seller standpoint.

I wish ebay Canada had a global ship program, maybe would’ve had the sale. Then again he wants me to ship it to an address not listed on his account, don’t think ebay global ship would be OK with this.

“Now I understand the real reason” is a weird thing to say in an email to an eBay seller.

Yeah I’ve been very polite throughout the whole exchange. Going to see my way out…enough of this lol

Another one sneaking up

Ok so now I’m sketched out. If he has an ebay US confirmed address he can just buy it or make an offer (I have BO on), he doesn’t need me to send him an offer. Feels like I’m trapped once I send an offer.

I think you just need to block him. Someone else will come along. Also, take offers off and sell it for $40 bucks.

Agreed, done.

Why can’t they just have their friend who lives in the US buy it on eBay for them? They can then Reimburse them for it.

Why make you do all the work/have all the risk?

You are right to block them…just on that principle alone.
