You may want to consider blurring out your home address and maybe your customer as well.
I wasnāt asking for proofā¦.just astonished you go to that level to CYA.
In theory you could have just taken it back out and sold it to someone elseā¦Iām not sure how that proves anythingā¦.but maybe ebay will believe you and thatās only what matters.
I donāt even trust it will leave my mail box without getting lost before itās scannedā¦(have had it happen). So I bring everything to the PO and get a receipt.
Not sure Iāll be taking pictures of the attendant scanning the package thoughā¦.they may think itās weird and objectā¦
I just knew this one would be a pain so I did everything but video myself walking to the mail box
What do you guys make of this? Buyer is in NC and the tracking infoās last update is today Feb 25th. I get a message from buyer why this hasnāt been delivered.
Iām starting to become Anthony and am losing my patience with these guys. Once item gets delivered I will be blocking this buyer as this will be the last time Iām dealing with him.
No idea why some people think the seller has any power over USPS or UPS or whatever.
I have noticed more and more weird routes with the new ground advantage. Like they ship all packages to different regional centers before they ship to their final destination. And maybe I am missing something but donāt see where it says it went to New York
No where does it say itās in NY. I even checked the USPS website and the info is the same.
And you generate postage off eBay, we all do, based off the address that they put in the system. Once we drop it off itās in the post offices hands. Not like you put the tracking number in for another package you shipped to New York.
Just had an issue with a small order under $10 which I shipped 1st class mail, without tracking because it was low cost item. The buyer claims they have not received it.
Do I have any options other than to reimburse the full amount.
1st class doesnāt include tracking?
There is no first class postage any more it is ground advantage now, which includes tracking and insurance up to $100, well I guess stamps are first class.
I went to the post office and it was just a label, no tracking.
Yup. Write it off as a loss.
Unfortunately without tracking they have no proof they ever received it.
And without insurance (ground advantage or higher) USPS is not liable for losses.
Buyer might know things and scammed you. It itās stuck in a bag for a month like my last order wasā¦and eventually it shows up after youāve sent the refund.
A guy hits me up from Portugal and wants me to put together a bundle of 13 items for him at a discount. I figure out what items he wants and gave him a little more than 15% off. I get some cryptic message basically asking for 30% off. I say no. He comes back with a slightly higher offer, so I agree at his offer price plus shipping. I create the listing for him. He messages me asking why the total is so high, after Ebay international shipping and I guess his country is adding some other fees itās more than he wants to pay. He goes ahead and buys it then asks me for a partial refund for the fees heās paying. WTF. I cancel the transaction and blocked him. I knew this was going to be a headache from the start. Now I have to wait and see if he negs me over this and then i have to fight with Ebay to get it removed.
Iāve had a ton of international orders lately. Every time I find a Nightwing 52b, I post it and the same dude in China buys it immediately.
One guy in China wanted three Putri books and messaged saying he requires a 30% discount. Guessing thereās some lost in translation stuff here, but I kindly declined.
Be careful with the guy from China buying your Nightwing. Mine was sold to a guy in China as well and I got an alert yesterday that his account was suspended and his order was cancelled. Not sure what happened but was definitely strange.
Good to know. My guy has 800 feedback, all positive. So, I felt like that was a safe one. But, you never know.
Just as a point of interest (definitely not any attempt at justifying stupid behaviour), eBay are starting to get greedy with the International Shipping rates. Iāve been seeing quotes of $45 to send a $75 book.
Iām sure itās crazy and they STILL donāt offer a way for international buyers to combine purchases and leave it up to us to figure it out.
