I see ebay signs you up for International shipping automatically. I got some sales from that so I do not mind too much, but now I just saw that they are now doing automatic returns even on International orders. I think now I may have to figure out how to opt out of the International shipping.
Aren’t returns handled by eBay’s global shipping program? I thought that was one of the perks of global shipping.
Yeah, I thought if something got returned on the international sales you still got your money and didn’t have to worry about anything cause eBay just takes it. That’s why I love the international sales—because even if something goes wrong I won’t be screwed over for my money.
So far, eBay’s International Shipping page still reflects the benefit of not having to directly deal with unhappy international buyers. What are you seeing? I’d hate for this to change - it’s been SO nice to sell globally without the hassles.
I have not listed anything for a couple months and some stuff about returns popped up, so I thought they changed it but I looked closer and actually read everything and it is the same.
I am done responding to peoples messages on ebay. Had someone today message me and ask a question. I told them to check the video I posted because you could see what they were asking right in it. They got all upset about it and got very defensive. Unless they are asking me to combine shipping I am done responding.
Yes, communicating with buyers/people in general on eBay can be quite a treat. Usually I just get the ol “why haven’t you shipped this yet” after barely 24 hours has gone by…I’m not Amazon, I’m getting to it lol
I always point them to where it says the handling time I put for the listing and that I will ship within that specified time frame.
For me it’s set at 5 days, lol.
Yeah…I believe it increases in $100 increments…so it would be $3.17 if it were $100.01 or $199.99.
I should include that meme in the pictures for all my listings, lol. Maybe it will cut down on the messages with offers (all low ball of course).

I thought of Fat Joe as well!
Here’s a new one for me.
There were several marvel GI Joe comics newsstands in high grade up for auction from one seller (Quality Comics)…all ending in succession about 30 seconds apart.
So I won 12 of them…but EBay started paying for some of them while I was still actively bidding on other auctions from that seller.
It skipped the first one…then paid the next 8…then skipped the last 3.
WTF???
Now I have to reach out to the seller and try to fix this mess…because he offers discounted shipping and I want them all shipped together.
I noticed recently that there is an autopay setting. Sometimes it is set for 1 hour and sometimes 7 days. I don’t buy much anymore so this is relatively new to me too. As a seller, I don’t mind it, but as a buyer, it’s kind of annoying.
I’m not familiar with this…is it set by the buyer or seller? I’m assuming the seller? (Why would a buyer give eBay that “power”?)
What I found odd was how it skipped the first win…then started paying with the second win…then back to not paying with the 10th win…it made 100% no sense unless it was individually tailored for each item…
I’m not sure TBH. I just noticed as I was bidding (on my desktop) that before I bid, there was an “autopay” section. Sometimes it says 1 hour and sometimes 7 days. I never really looked into it as I don’t do much buying anymore.
Gemini says the following: * How it works: When a seller turns on auto-pay, eBay prompts you to authorize a payment method before placing a bid or offer. If you win an auction or a seller accepts your offer, your card or PayPal is charged automatically.
Contact the Seller to request they opt out of auto-pay before you bid, or ask them to refund shipping overages.
