I won an ebay auction the 9th and paid for it and it was from a shop here in my state Rhode Island so usps picks it up and sends it to Connecticut to then get sent back to the post office where its at now to then get sent to my house, I still donāt have the books lol
Rhode Island, the smallest state! I want to visit sometime.
The shop I go to is Time capsule. Decent selection but its hard to really find great stuff because they only bag most books and not bag and board the back issues so a lot of them have nasty spine wear and ticks all over
I live in the middle of point a and point b. Shop is 15 minutes up the street from my house but was sneaky and ordered a 1 per customer book from their mail order department.
The book traveled across the bay and now is in DC. I live directly between DC and Baltimore.
Postal routes donāt make sense until you sometimes see how they operate.
I thought it was weird cause last time I bought something off ebay that was in the same state I got it the next day
Iām in NY and a package from NC took a detour to MT before being delivered. It happens from time to time.
I had one the I sent from Rhode Island to Virginia and it sat in California for a week.
I think USPS employees are updating their scanners with a different location so they show up on the tracking with some crazy updates just to mess with all you peopleā¦
Nice, I did the same. Although they arenāt my LCS but Iām right above B-More.
Where abouts?
Oh what the actual Fā- now.
Went from the next town over to the eastern shore to Washington DC now to North Carolina. Itās been all over and all around me but not to me.
āIāve been everywhere man, Iāve been everywhere!ā
āListen, you guys donāt know logistics like we know logistics. We gave logistics a fancy name like logistics so people forget that itās just taking things from point a to point b. We swear youāre all too stupid to understand how sending something to Canada and back is actually more efficient than sending it straight you. You guys wouldnāt get it, itās logistics.ā
Not a headache, just something mildly amusing. My Seller Feedback hit ā1977ā today. My favorite number, the year Star Wars was released.
Must be a portend of a good day.
Hereās another person to block. Zero feedback rating, ordered a book purposefully knowing it was the wrong photo. Enjoy your free book and a block! Glad it wasnāt anything too expensive.

Not sure that you can absolutely say that the buyer did this to you intentionally. From my selling experience, the vast majority of eBay buyers just go by the pictures and donāt read the description/details (one reason why Mercari is a viable alternative, just take a photo and sell)
Iāve had it happen to me the other way a few times with the right photo and wrong description when I was quickly duplicating listings to use as a template for other items. One time, when I found out before shipping out the item and contacted the buyer, the buyer told me that he was only going by the photo and didnāt bother to scroll down and read my description at all.
I would completely agree if it was from someone with some previous feedback. But someone who just joined Aprill 11, 2021ā¦bought something immediately from me, and then I immediately get that response right when they get it. Well thought out / planned.
Why in the world would someone buy something without reading the description?
I like reading descriptions because it can sometimes tell me a bit about how people grade and so forth.
Sometimes if one of my books has a bad enough flaw I will put it in the title. Even if they donāt read description they see it. Today I posted one that has a big stamp on cover so I wrote STAMPED in the title, ha.
On some books Iāll even write in description, PLEASE NOTE FOLLOWING FLAW-ā¦if I think it is something they might missā¦but then, I donāt have 1000 listings to do this.
With some people, there is almost nothing you can do to help.
