Hey all, I’m wondering if we can get Dirty D’s F.O.C. suggestions on Sunday. All of the comics shop owners here have told me even though the F.O.C. date is always a Monday, the time is what matters. They all said it’s 12AM Monday.
They are unable to order comics on F.O.C. on Mondays.
It’s been tough getting them out lately. Partially because I have no free time weeknights and weekends lately…but also because I find there’s not much that’s exciting.
It wasn’t so bad when most everything on FOC was available through Previews World…but now I have to check Lunar and Penguin Random House websites…and their sites are not as user friendly….so it’s like 2-3 times the work.
That and TFAW was pretty easy to link to…Third Eye is ok, but it’s still a little more work to find/link.
It all adds up. But I agree it’s better to have the info on Saturday. My LCS closes Sunday at 6pm, and doesn’t open until Tuesday. So I rarely get my picks in either and end up ordering through MCS around midnight east coast. I think they close out FOC at midnight central time.
I will take it under consideration as I’m not always sure if people even use the information all that much. So I appreciate the feedback.
Normally D-Rog is good in getting them over to me timely. I (like this week) have other things going on and cannot always get to them in time. I try to get them up on Sunday when sent, but like this week, spent time on the baseball field with my younger son’s team and went to two of my other son’s tournament games. Also spent some time with my wife and her family at a memorial service for my recently deceased father in law. When I got home I made dinner for the boys and started to post the FOC post but fell asleep on the couch working on it.
I assure you we try our best but life sometimes gets in the way.
Not to take away from anything that is done on this site for FoC. There are other sources that you can read or watch before Sunday. Also reading the solicits or following what artists are in demand can give you insight as well if you’re looking to flip books.
Personally I make all my FoC picks before even looking at other people’s lists. I use lists to either confirm my picks or identify something I may have missed. In the end I’m usually good with my picks.
