Flops

It wasn’t a ratio variant. I was saying to compare the supply between those two covers.

It doesn’t take ChatGPT to know the availability of the main greatly outweighs that of the variants. The main had a bundle available to retailers where the buy in was only $1. The other covers had a buy in of ~$3. Throw in the variant cover destruction over 1-2 years… you end up with much smaller supply than is natural. Odd routes to scarcity like that can create desirability that normally wouldn’t be there for a variant.

My point is, people are not ripping off the cover of that foil variant. Any scarcity with that particular cover is based on something else…otherwise all of a lot of the covers would be scarce, not just one particular cover. Are they?

So I would like to see more data demonstrating an actual trend across the print run. One example of a cover which can be explained as hard to find for other reasons than being destroyed doesn’t really back up the claim. “They have already become very scarce because of that wave of cover ripping.”

If the more forgettable covers are disappearing, then maybe that says something.

Well… look at the others. Wes Craig variant has like 4 copies on US eBay listed.

Freaking love that cover. I got one but I definitely need to list some more stuff that I have acquired lately as well to replenish my funds.

Either way, I hope the cover ripping trend continues as it will ultimately send this book to Zero Town…**fulfilling the Dirty D prophecy that Absolute Batman #1 is dollar bin fodder!!

Wish I had one of those. Very nice!

You’re a market manipulator!!! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Sadly I was getting $40-50 for many of them at the time and was happy with that. Have sold 2 since the price jumped way up. Last one I paid $20 for. The thing of it is third eye dint sell many of the initial run and clearances the remaining off for $5 each. I bought them at the right time and was getting the $40-50. Stumbled across one after when they popped and grabbed it. Shop was surprised it sold for $20. I laughed because I knew it was closer to $200
